Forum: Character Count

Character count is way off, I counted the characters and even used Word to count the characters. For my initial post it was 2000 characters, the forum says it is well over 4000 characters. When I shrink it down to around 100 characters it still says it is over 1000 characters therefore I find that either the check is wrong or the formula used it written incorrectly. Before anyone asks, I do website development and have done a lot of work on forums where custom options such as character count was included. So please no flaming just pointing out an error on the forum.

character count includes carrion returns and spaces.

quotes are included in the character count.

Either way, the cap is completely and utterly pointless.
