This and the fireworks, It looks like they are celebrating the end of the world.

YESS!! I was like wtf just happened?? it was so eerie! and then it turned to Fog in Limsa which made it even more scary. The song sounded kinda haunted to me.

it was awesome!

...and at the same time, it kinda made me feel like I wanted more time with the Wandering Minstrel. /sigh

Though unlikely to happen, ever most likely, it would be nice if they introduced end of an era event so those new to the game can experience what happened in the final days. It would be good immersion as those new would feel more attatched to the world if they saw what became its current fresh state

That's the same (more or less) bgm played after 1.0 final save and lvl 99 mobs starts raiding cities. It ends when 1.0 shutdown and end of era trailer played, which is basically Dalamud razing the realm of Eorzea.

It always annoyed me when people said end of an era was just a cut scene, if that's all they took from it, they were obv on holiday.
It was the immersion of it, standing with long time friends and saying goodbye, all the while someone gave a running count down, and that haunting music, I just wish for the rising they used the full version not one verse.
I found myself just sitting in limsa a few nights ago for about an hour or so just listening to it

makes me wish I played 1.0 now. that sight of Dalamud in the sky just gives me goosebumps every time I see it. I could only imagine what playing in game must've felt like with it there and knowing that the world was about to come to an end. *shivers*

When it originally appeared it was just a brighter star that got bigger in each live update, it was very ominous
