I found similar threads about other classes but apparently there is no such thread about dragoon novus yet.

I just finished my Animus and now am wondering about what stats to add. Is there some kind of BiS people agree on? Money isn't an issue, really.

So, is it Crit and Det? Can you cap both? If no, what stat has priority? If yes, what other stats are to be raised?

Lollie do you mean CRIT is the one to cap ? I thought it was more interesting to cap DET and then put points in CRIT and ACC ?

Crit caps at 44, Det at 31. That's 75 in total, if you cap them both there won't be any room for acc.
I guess I'll just go with full det and crit then. Or is acc really that important later on?

I ran out crit/det IV materia for mine. Think I wound up with :

Accuracy +10
Determination +30
Crit 35

I've lost minimal raw dps while saving a lot of gil. Crit/Det IV materia at the time had reached 500K or more gil. The extra accuracy isn't bad...means I don't have to consume +acc food when going against Nael each week.

I did not mean anything by the order, i was just saying if you want to go the cheap route acc would be the stat you use in the gaps you would otherwise use for crit or det. Det being the more important but more expensive of those 2 given the amount of people that benefit from adding det.

Is acc really of any importance, meaning is the current gear not have enough acc?
I am on book 10 of atma atm so still have a ways to go but started Alexandrite with my Bard, so will continue on until i have enough for both classes.
I think i would be going crit, determination, and leave acc out

^acc is the CHEAP ROUTE meaning limited or no inclusion of t4 materia. There are alternative gear combinations mainly revolving around the gloves and boots for drg that making the difference of including acc on your novus negligible. If you are truly going for bis on drg you will be getting/having a ha spear which has perfect stats on it for the class.
