    some HUD questions

I'm on PC but I leveled up until 40 using mostly my gamepad because it's so comfy. but then my SMN obtained new spells and since I'm a bit slow in switching hotbars I decided to return to m/k.
but then I've noticed some things that are missing when I'm on the m/k:
    1) why is the item help missing? when I hover on my spells sometimes it shows up but inventory & quest items, no. I had difficulty deciding whether to greed or pass some items :/
    2) I had no problem with the camera/movement when I'm on the gamepad but I realized when on m/k if I'm focused on something/one my toon will automatically move towards that target or he always goes forward. any tip on how to tweak that?

    thanks in advance!

No idea with #1, but for #2 try changing legacy settings to on. (if you do this and still want to walk backwards hold strafe left/right and backwards together, otherwise you turn and run back)

no idea what went on either, I'll post screenshots soon. I'll also look into the legacy settings, thanks!

    1) Somewhere in Character Config (probably UI or something), there's a checkbox for both Show Item Help and Show Ability Help (I think it's called Ability Help anyway), as well as drop-downs for how they're positioned (floating, fixed, fixed reverse). You probably have Item Help unchecked. Easier than finding that checkbox (IMO) is to go into /hudlayout and right-click the Item Help box; its text will be blue, which means hidden.

    2) If it's not just a matter of Legacy vs. Standard controls (I'm not sure from the wording), it's possible you're getting locked on. There's a setting to automatically lock on to targets when you use skills on them, which I'd recommend turning off if it's on.

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.
