Please enforce Item Level requirements for dungeons

Today, I had to wait in queue as a tank for 30 minutes to get into Labyrinth. Once inside, one entire party decided to do a "nude run" despite the fact that it caused us to wipe 5 times on Bone Dragon, they refused repeated requests to equip appropriate gear, and then they whined that the rest of us didn't protect them. In the end, all I got from this was an hour wasted and a 600 gil repair bill.

Please enforce the item level requirements for dungeons for the entire duration of dungeons.

They can't exactly keep querying players' ilevels as it would probably lag the dungeon to Hell. What they should look at though is an ilevel verification if gear is swapped at any point. It would probably create a small delay when you swap for the processing time but that's fine. If you would fall below min ilevel you would get a red message saying you can't complete that swap. They could also implement an absolute minimum ilevel for individual peices of gear. Set it 10 or so levels below the min average for the dungeon.

what you are suggesting would be an il requirement for every dungeon. i met all item level requiremnts as a wHM, but i had one low level ring, holding me back. it was an il 38 ring. i would be barred from almost every dungeon. that ring waas replaced as soon as i was able, but not before clearing garuda and getting to the heart phase of titan. as i had to actually work for that ring and it wasnt handed to me by the hunts, and it took a whilebecause i didnt really know of an efficient way to get soldiery.

not to mention that new players would also have to get jewelry for that level dungeon, which is pretty hard if you can get it in the dungeon, as a lot of new players dont really have gil.

You could have left any time. Also much easier/faster ways to get gear unless you are going for glamour. But the 600 gil repair bill is a laughable complaint. People have been trolling CT for months. Forcing ilvl requirements won't make your life any easier.

Then maybe 15 ilevels would be best. That way a fresh 50 with a few i38ish accessories would still be able to enter most of the early dungeons AND Crystal Tower.

i was clearing garuda with that ring, and getting to heart phase on titan. i was far from a fresh 50. but i wasnt going to try to farm turns 1-4 for a ring, and i already had the i90 myth ring. i got enough after a while to get the soldiery ring, but having that one low-level ring would have stopped all of it.

Myth Healing ring and Master Conjurer's ring. Why do you even have that level 38 anymore?

15 ilevels would have locked you out of Titan yes but not Garuda (i52) and did you not complete your CNJ Hunting Log for the Master Conjurer's Ring? There's also GC rings available in the high i40s, a multitude of higher level rings in dungeons and i48 crafted rings are all over the Market Board since they're a favorite for spiritbonding. There's no real excuse for an i38 ring in Titan HM. Before ilevel reqs and whatnot people would gather everyone in Rev. Toll and do a gear check and you'd often be removed from the Titan party if you weren't at least mostly Darklight gear and if you had any gear that wasn't at least i60 (Amdapor Keep gear back then, CB HM, Pharos, Hauke HM gear now).

as i said in earlier posts, i already have the soldiery ring, and i also forgot to mention that it was the EX primals, not HM. the ring was the only piece of gear that wasnt 90+.

i wasnt a fresh 50, but there was still stuff i didnt know, like the guy in gridania who gave th achievement rewards. i didnt learn about him until last week.

also, since the time i had cleared garuda ex and got to heart phase on titan ex, i leveled my PLD and got it to i94, the same level as my WHM at the time.

Stopping people from griefing would definitely make my game easier. That's exactly what this is. People being assholes because they think it's funny, and ruining the fun for everyone else. I don't have a lot of time to play, and having it wasted because some dickhead thinks it's a joke is something that can easily be prevented if SE would actually DO something about it.

As far as querying your average item level, it wouldn't have to. Open the armory chest, any items that would drop your average item level below the minimum for the dungeon can't be equipped, just like you can't equip gear that has a higher level requirement than your current level.
