My FC and friends, the game's lore and characters, and that no MMO interests me currently besides maybe Everquest Next which won't be out for ages. The gameplay not so much.... other than coil I guess.

It's a way for me to stay connected with the many friends I've made in the game! It's also fun to see where the game goes as time progresses! And as others have said before, being able to set fairly lofty goals for myself, and to keep at trying to fulfill them!

I recently unsubbed and let the rest of the days run out. Its the grind that got me, I used to be more than willing to do them but the hunts killed it for me because all previous efforts to craft or to raid was invalidated by showering everyone with sand and oil by another mindless grind. So I figured to just observe when the next "big" thing will erase all efforts to hunt to upgrade gears and be there for it. I hope.

As Sev Valen says. I'm waiting to see the Gold Saucer, Ninja and Expansion to see where it's going to decide if I continue, or not.

It's a great game, a few hiccups, but the World is not challenging enough, no penalty for death (not talking to have something harsh like losing rare Items but XP I wouldn't mind) except repairs, everyone is doing their stuff, some crafts, some gather, some fights, so hard to get into a static for end content, and then once it's done and you don't want to gear an alt cause you lvl him up and find it doesn't suits you, gil sellers (gil buyers), bots, bad behavior of some that ruins your runs.

I don't know really. So I stick closely to Friends to socialize and do content, until new content is added.

I would vouch for once-a-month a small patch that gives us fresh air, versus 3 months that gives a ton (and yes they do a good job so far)

All-in-all, It's an ok game, the first since a very long time that I pay a sub for, and enjoy doing it.

When you need to find something in a game to keep you hooked, OP, perhaps it's time to reflect and see if another game would fill the role of Fun.

Some take breaks and come back, other don't. such is the way of this Gaming business.

I prefer new content that gives value over Glamour, but we have to please everyone, and it's not that easy ^^

Good job SE so far, can't wait for the Expansion to come!

Have fun guys, and see you tonight!

I have noticed that there is a large vocal portion of players that complain and gripe about aspects in the game and how they are no longer interested in the game because they themselves aren't taking the responsibility for the corner they put themselves into.

Nobody is forcing you to log in every day to cap soldiery, Tues grind coil, etc but yourself. This is an mmo, all the content will be there tomorrow and the day after...so you cannot blame se for your ocd style obsession to play the game every day to lose the fun of doing things at a casual pace.

For me, it's mostly about the friends I've made. Lately it's been a bit of a grind, since me and a few others separated from previous FCs to start our own and had to rank it up and get the gil for a house (and then had a bit of a letdown when the plot we wanted sold JUST as we got the rank and money D: ), but we got a house just this week and things got a lot better with the fun bits of decorating and not needing to craft/spiritbond/etc to get points and money.

I was part of a group of players who started a linkshell for people tired of the endgame "exp only! speedrun only! loot only!" mentality, and we filled up the last spot just the other day XD So many fun people to talk to, and almost always people willing to help you out when you need a dungeon/primal run. Except Aurum Vale That always seems to make people run for their lives, for some reason.

Still haven't downed T5 yet (due to never having found a full group willing and ready to learn it with me), so my FC's next goal is to recruit people who mesh well with us, both skill-wise and personality-wise, and get a static that way.

Back when the game launched and all the way to February or thereabouts, this game was pretty much just a Co-op between me and my flatmate. It wasn't until we met the people who we started that linkshell with that we began to socialize more with others, and it became a completely different game from then on :O Back then, I said (after Titan Story mode) that I'd never do any HM Primals. The horror of it all! But now, I actually think the HM Primals are fun! (Even Titan!) And I've even dared to join other people in TeamSpeak!
I don't think I could go back to Co-op anymore. XD

TL;DR version - The people make me look forward to playing almost every day. Sorry for the wall of text
