Hi. I just want to make sure I understand these correctly.

For Brand of ___ to work:
    - you need to have the right one set in your ability list at the time
    - if that element goes unstable, you need to hope that the correct brand comes up as a selectable action
    - using that ability will cause the element to stabilize

    Is this correct?

I agree that destablization needs to be addressed. I think after 2-3 successful standards, it should stabilize automatically.

I also think that the reliance on the RNG (or what I like to call the random fail generator) needs to be addressed.

Yes. But I believe it is best used as a "preventive" measure instead.

    Thank you.
I guess I still don't understand the use for these, though.

Trying Brand of Lightning as a preventive measure doesn't seem to work for me -- the lightning element can still go unstable as usual, even when Brand of Lightning is in effect.

Trying it as a fixative measure doesn't seem to work either -- applying that ability on an unstable lightning element doesn't stabilize it.

    So confused. ><

Everything except the last point. Using the brand doesn't stabilize the element automatically, it only increases the chances of stabilization by temporarily increasing your affinity with that element.

If you go lightning unstable and Brand of Lightning pops up use it and your next 3 actions will have a higher than average chance of stablizing the element with waiting being the most effective, but it's not guaranteed.
