    FATE timers and Daily Hunts

There is absolutely no reason why FATE-based daily mobs should require people to stand around for 1-3 hours waiting for a FATE to spawn so that they can complete 1 part of their daily. Either remove FATE mobs from the daily hunt altogether, or decrease the respawn rate to no more than 30 minutes for these FATES. The best thing to do would be to set the timers to somewhere between 5-10 minutes. It is completely unacceptable for players to have to sit and wait for these FATES in zones where they have nothing else they can do. It is too risky to leave the zone because the FATE might pop while they're gone, then they'll have to wait even longer.

This is seriously disappointing. You're making your paying customers sit and do nothing. They can't progress in the game. They just have to wait for 2-3 hours every day.

I completely agree, so many of my my friends are bieing put of the game because it is so heavy and grinding and farming. and now we need sit a wait for hours just to get out daily hunt. It is really off putting. I only have time for a couple hours after work, and most of my time is used up just sitting around an waiting. reduce the times, or atleast allow the players to be notified so they are not waiting around...too much time wasted

Completely agree, a good friend quit the game as she was sick of waiting on fate spawns for animus/hunt,
For a week she was sat in sylph lands , for 2-3 hours a night waiting for a fate to spawn that never did.
She then sent a long email to say sorry she loves the game but this is too much of a block and she will come back if that ever changes
Is sad as she is such a dedicated player but I can see why it would get to you, happening for the week.
Grats SE you lost her as a player due to poor implementation of the animus and hunt fates

I don't get why they can't do a system check, X fate no link to quests or possible dailies, equals normal timer,
Y fate connected to both hunt dailies and animus, equals respawn every 15mins, similar to how beast fates, ST fates and Hildibrand zombie fate does

Did that happen to be The Enemy of My Enmity? There's a guy who hides in the bushes you have to talk to in order to kick it. I found him accidentally doing a hunt. I too would sit in the East Shroud and finally the fate would pop. I never knew why it was so rare. Well, because the icon to kick the dang fate off is relatively hidden and the darned character is crouching under a bush! My curiosity kicked the fate and the next thing I knew, there were a bunch of folks shouting "Don't finish that fate!" I was like, "I'm not running it! Don't care! LOL" I had done it for my Animus, and I was 100% not going to do it again. It's a pain. Don't kill the Sylphs then kill the Sylphs. But I digest...

If she's looking to kick it, the guy is usually crouched in the north west side of the area where the fate Magitek Menace is. She may already know this, but just in case, I thought I might try to help. There's a Sylphan Screech and Sylphan Sigh or something like that hanging near him. The Sigh was one of my daily hunt marks that day.

As far as the dailies go, now that the B's pop every 5 seconds, let them be the daily hunt and turn fates into weekly. I can sit around and wait a while once a week, but I waited for the giant tortoise and Diamond something or rather so long, I just shit-canned the hunt book. Wasn't going to make it that high on my priority list.

@-EricCartmenez - I don't remember it's name but wasn't a click npc one, was a named sylph. It popped once and she 90k out so didn't get to finish it, I think that might of been the "I quit" moment.
I agree fate ones shouldn't be dailies, unless their timers get changed it's not feasible to have two fate dailies that can possibly take hours each to spawn.
Dailies are meant to be quick like beast tribes, not take hours.
Just wish I didn't have to lose such a good friend in game due to such a poorly implemented system

Oh that's the Sylph bosses that sit in the north west, center, and east of the map. Yeah, they actually pop more often than you might think. I had one of them as well. The key to getting fates to pop more in given areas is to farm the others and keep the area free of fates. That's a double-edged sword because as you're making things happen quicker, some other ass-hat is sitting there, waiting and finishes the fate that YOU worked hard to make happen. Personally, I think fates in the animus book are redundant. We did 'em already, damn it! Give us a friggin' break! Run through the Sylphlands where every douche-bag mob has got heavy or slow to cast on you, then you have to find a spot to keep your character in case you have to step away or they'll get killed. The second you step away to get a soda or coffee, the fate pops and is done as you're on the way to the controller. Ugh. You want it for helping people? Fine, make it pop more often or give a low level dungeon. As a noob (and I guess I still am), I always wondered why someone with such high level gear was stuck in a level 25 dungeon or killing fucking lady bugs with me. Argh! Instead of helping me, I usually got shit for XP because I couldn't get a shot in before the party of experts blew everything away.

Yah I had the doubled edge sword with one fate in Coerthas, giant saps, was waiting ages no spawn, so went off to kill other spawns, it popped and died before I could get to it, asked in shout when I saw it spawn, that if anyone doing it please don't go all out and wait a minute.
With a response "suck it up and next time learn to camp" ofc was long dead by time I got there and I wasn't even that far away

Now that's awful, seriously. I was fighting Naul (remember when he mattered?) within a few yalms of Seps and some butt nozzles ran past me and knocked down Seps before a B mark could die! Wow, such proof that I would be worthy to wield the Animus sword! LOL

I got it the next day. I just did gathering leve quests in the area until it popped. Luckily, I was able to switch characters, warm up the actions, and kill Seps. The whole thing about needing fates for animus is ridiculous anyway. Come up with a whole line of dungeons we can only run with the Zenith weapon! Make the people who are getting Zenith work together. You can only fight these with Zenith. You can only fight these with an animus. To get people to re-run them, give them something worth getting. Allied Seals, armor, gil, weapons... Anything. Shoot, people can get 80 tomes of mythology for a few seconds worth of work in a hunt, let's make this go!

It has become even worse thanks to the Lightning Event. There is a FATE in Lower La Noscea with a big fat bird (dunno the English name of the FATE). This one can be chosen as a daily hunt mark for 10 seals AND it provides loot for one of the Lightning FATES. But the Lightning event FATE doesn't count as a reward towards the Hunt mark. Although you see the mob marked, the monster remains as unsolved in the daily hunt book after the FATE is over.

So it is sitting there, waiting for it to appear and then hoping it is not the Lightning version. This is ABSURD for a so called daily quest. I could spend my entire evening with the 2 FATES involved if I wanted to do them each day. Just not counting as daily in my book. Hell, I can do the six Ixali quests in merely an hour, can do any of the other beast tribe quests in under an hour, can do my daily roulette in under an hour but hey, SE thinks waiting 2 hours for a FATE is good for another daily?

Most of the time I throw the daily hunt book away when I am done with the random trash mobs. Why they did not take 3 B-rank mobs for the daily Hunt is just beyond me. No, FATES, FATES and moar FATES. Great Hunt!

Same thing for me yesterday! Went to Swiftperch, killed Glutenous Gertrude and got a drop (which I didn't need!) and no credit for killing that stupid bird (which I needed!). Come on, SE, it's not that hard to provide credit for both. Heck, I've had to discard more of those packages than I could use.
