A little backstory, a friend of mine has been trying to get me in this game for a while, so much so that he offered to buy the game for me and my wife if we played the trial and decided we liked it. Naturally, we have both accepted this. Thing is, we set up the trials through the launcher, and now he wants to gift the game to us on Steam. I have no problem with that, but I just want to confirm that we can upgrade our trial accounts with the Steam version. We aren't too far into the game, but neither one of us really want to have to start over if we don't have to. Thanks!

I'm very impressed. The combat is a bit slower than I prefer (I'mused to 1.5 sec cooldowns VS 2.5), but that aside, I haven't really found much that I don't like about it. What really caught me off guard is how good the game runs. I built my system 6 1/2 years ago, and while I've upgraded my graphics cards several times, its still running the same dual core Xeon and 4gb of ram that it always has, and I still pull 45-60 fps with everything maxed out in most situations outside of cities.
