    General advice / assistance (Gear)

    Many gear threads out there but my question is a bit different. I currently have a iLVL96 PLD and am working on getting my WAR to fiddy, he is currently 38, getting close. Most of the gear will be interchangeable between the two, which is nice. I also have striking and maiming accs from my DPS jobs.

    My question is this.

    I am one book away from a Sands of Time. I was originally going to use it on my W. Burtgang to make it 110. However last night when I was going through my armory to see what I will have for WAR when he dings I thought to myself, would it be better to un-weather the Lorica first, sice it will have more utility between two jobs?

    If I use the sands on my W. Burtgang, that is great for my PLD, but if I use it on my Lorica that is benefiting both my PLD and my WAR.

    Your input is greatly appreciated shield and great axe brothers and sisters!

    In your case I would think first of your PLD. If you think the weapon upgrade is more urgent than the coat, do it first. Weapon damage is usually very important, and once you decided to get the Weathered Burtgang it's a pity to not upgrade it ASAP.

    As time passes you'll get more allied seals and will be able to upgrade the coat in the not far future.

    That is a very good point Jon, and basically reinforces the voice in the back of my head. Stick to the plan Syn, upgrade the Burt first.

    I agree, I would prioritize the PLD first. I went with Weather Burt > Burtgang. Then this week Im finishing my weathered noct > Noct Coat for them to share.

    Update:

    I finished off my seals to get my last book. Traded for a sands and un-weathered my Burtgang, and am glad I did. Looking at my stats and what I needed for acc, I got the W. Noct Wrists. I know that doesn't fit in the "recommended purchase" order, but this keeps me at 514 Acc and 522 Parry. Also put me at i100, so that works out. Next upgrade will be the Lorica. Time to farm seals and get into a SCOB static ^^.
