Minions and things for them to do!

Hello, here's something that's been picking at me lately, so I decided to post it to see how it goes.

It would be nice if our minions actually had a purpose besides just ...being there acting silly. A lot of games, old and current have some type of minion system. The 2 that come to mind atm are; World of Warcraft with it's pet battling system and I believe Silkroad online had pets that would collect coins and items dropped by monsters. Although the latter won't work with the current gil/drop system. It'd be nice to have our minions fight it out in a mini game of sorts or have them carry some extra inventory slots for those moments your inventory is completely full, for my fishers and crafters out there, this would be great since you won't have to clog your inventory with all that bait/materials.

Here's a completely separate and off topic idea for mounts as well:
Wouldn't it be nice if we actually had a reason to summon other mounts instead of constantly summoning the same one? Imagine if mounts had some some type of advantage over others in certain terrains? What if your behemoth mount was faster than your chocobo in places with lots of mountains, because you know, with all those muscles it must scale through tough terrain pretty damn quick. What if your Ahriman mount was faster in the dark? At night? What if your coeurl could cross a Forrest like the shrouds without getting as exhausted as your behemoth? Wouldn't that be nice? Lol just thoughts I'd like to get out there! Opinions/criticism are all welcomed.

Would be amazing if this idea is liked and expanded on by others' suggestions!

Ahriman might be a flying mount when they add flight in 3.0, so we'll see what happens after the expansion.

I was thinking that it might be cool if we could have minions summon-linked to say like a personal room, FC House, or even personal housing, and that minion or minions walk around the room or house like pets roaming free around. You could also change which minions you have summoned in your room/house. There could always be like a "pet" bed item that is used in housing to do this, kinda like the chocobo stable, where while its there, it cannot be summoned to your side. Just an idea..

Haha having your minions walking around in your FC house would be pretty cool! Would be nice to walk into your FC and see your wind up moogle just floating about lol.
