    Few weeks in observations.

    1. Personal housing (i.e. like moogle house in ffxi) can decorate, garden, gain extra resting xp sleeping there before loging out, Have armor stands to display your best armor/weapons, fish tanks, etc etc

    2. Thank you for the ability to color chocobos, great idea useing food. how about food or something like that to alter appearance (i.e. larger beak, bigger, smaller, things like that)

    3. Another chocobo idea, armor, weapons, stats, quests, just like your main character. You get X armor and your chocobo's defense goes up. Just to clarify im not talking about barding that looks great but does nothing stat wise, im talking about craft-able armor, weapons, to improve stats.

    4. Referring to Item #2 food to change appearance, when you choose bigger legs or whatever, there is a speed or jumping increase or sharper beak, there is a dmg increase. that way in time there can be events where you can do chocobo races/obstacle courses, pit your chocobo against monsters in the pit.

    5. Summoner, I do like the look of the summons, but I have to admit I miss the big summons from FFXI, when you summon Titan he is big, can throw boulders etc. Is there any plan on adding something like that here?

    6. Airships, I got the airship pass and I was like "All Right!" but all it ended up being like is teleport with cut-scenes. Needless to say I was disappointed. With Teleport airships are pointless. There needs to be something different about them to make them worth traveling on. Like being able to fish from them, air pirate raids, nm spawns (ffxi kraken) or even like (i hate saying this) like WoW, where the airships are real, in-game. and they fly over the environment, so you can look down, or if brave enough jump off.

    7. Put chocobo timers on the Duty-timer tab

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Again thank you for a great game!

personally i hated when in ffxi they had airships real in game and they fly over enviorment you couldnt jump off but it was still very very boring waiting on the airship with nothing to do though the ability to fish from them or air pirate raids or something seems like a interesting way to get rid of boredom

Incidentally you can simply go back and re-edit your first post to get around the 1000 character posting limit.

    1. Personal housing is coming in a later patch, and from what I understand some of the ideas you mentioned will be added as well.

    2. I'm not sure this could be implemented, as to do so would require SE having to completely alter how the chocobo model works in the game - they would have to make it as a 'paper doll' system like player characters, which adds extra complexity to the game's programming. Being able to adjust your chocobo's appearance to make them more unique would be nice, but I don't see it happening to be honest.

    3. Barding is meant to be chocobo armour, SE just haven't gotten around to actually adding stats to them yet. And chocobos would not be able to use weapons, as they're a mount! Really I'd prefer the Path Companions to be brought back from version 1.0 (which were like FFXI's 'Adventuring Fellows'), and allow them to be equipped with armour and be called in battle to help the player, as they just seem more suited to the role than a chocobo.

    4. Well, a chocobo race is coming to the game (as part of the Gold Saucer), so something like this may be possible. As long as it's properly balanced and doesn't lead to 'ideal builds' that everyone then just sticks to and ignore everything else, then I'd like to see it too.

    5. This will never happen - the development team have repeatedly said so, as mentioned by Hvinire here:

As was mentioned previously during the Beta test, the design planner reiterated that egi were designed to be a manifestation of a percentage of power taken from the primals and are intentionally designed to appear differently from the primal. As such, we aren't planning on changing the look of egi at higher levels.

We will however continue to take in your feedback when creating new egi that will be added in the future.
The reason for this is simple. In FFXI the player actually made a pact with the avatar to call on them when needed, somewhat akin to a 'deal with the devil'. Here in FFXIV however, the Primals require an enormous amount of aether to summon and remain corporeal, far more than what a mere adventurer is capable of. Not to mention they are too arrogant and self centered to bother 'blessing' a member of the 'spoken' races with their power - they reserve that only for those who worship them. As the player is immune to a Primal's influence by the Echo and does not worship the Primals, hence the Primals regard us as a threat and not someone to answer a summoning. Accordingly, the SMN in FFXIV is a short cut that evokes a sliver of a Primal's power that manifests as an 'egi' - it's not the Primal itself. So yeah, no full-size summoning.

    5. Like Mithena I hated the long time it took to get anywhere by airship in FFXI (the trip alone was ridiculously long on it's own, and Altana help you if you missed the flight by seconds). It was just unnecessarily complicating the game for complications' sake. Here in FFXIV the player can teleport freely around the world and have their own mounts which are fast enough so the airship also has to compete with those modes as well. There is content coming in the future where the player can actually build their own airship with their Free Company, so it's possible a separate 'sky' zone is planned, but nothing is known for certain.
    6. I agree the time left on your chocobo companion needs to be made more visible, but it's not too hard to regularly check the 'Companions' tab to see how much time you have left before your feathered friend leaves.

I'd like the idea of maybe battles and rare hunts showing up in the Airships. Maybe you could choose to have the express travel (would be a small cutscene) or a scenic travel, which would be the one where you wait for the airships to dock. And that woyuld have raids and whatnot. Rare beasts maybe, like the kracken that used to be in the ships in FF XI.
    But just a thought.

And being able to see the chocobo timer, how long they're summoned would be a good idea.
(I don't have opinions for the other things as of yet)
