Thread: Ixal Beast tribe buff working as intended?

So when doing the Ixal Beast tribe quests you get a buff while crafting. This buff lowers the amount of CP you have. At the Fallgourd Float location you are brought down to 99 cp. During the first tier of quests this isn't a problem. But now I am on the fourth tier and again I have to use the "crafting facility" in this location. Getting the HQ I need has basically come down to pure luck. 99cp just isn't enough.

I was wondering if this is supposed to be this way because the facility in Coerthas let's you have 199 cp during the tier 3 quests.

I don't ever really craft so this is all really new to me. I only leveled my culinary class through leve turn ins.

There are different buffs, some lower your CP by 50, 100, or by half, others don't lower it at all.

The buff you get is different depending on your quest. Some lower CP, some don't.

What is this you speak of crafting and beastmen... Explain. I only completed the one tribe in Outer. Some beast tribe quests involve crafting?

I understand that but should it be the same buff for the tier four quests and tier one? Maybe because it's using the same facility it's giving the wrong buff. 99 cp just seems so low for what they are asking. I can barely get past 30% hq without getting lucky and having excellent status.

Use better gear? Or try to level up more.

This is just a guess based on CP values found on lodestone for lv 38 and lv 50 crafter.

Since your highest appears to be 38 this is how the scenario currently works

LV 38, Base CP 278

75% 50% -100 -150 -50
208/139/178/128/228

LV 50, Base CP 324

75% 50% -100 -150 -50
243/162/224/178/274

The amount of CP you'll have access to at your current level will be lower than what one will have at 50 and cause of this it will make it tricker. So you could do like others have said and lv up or maybe gear up more since you might have less than 278 CP
