around ~46 to 50 outside Ul'dah to the Southeast is a Doblyn camp that used to be popular. Around 200-230SP~ solo
Would probably recommend solo to trio here. It can really only support 1-2 groups (birds slightly north are around the same).

@Dextera: I think we're done with TheVedis, he or she is not posting here anymore and you may further the arguing on this post which I don't think anyone wants on here. Please try not to post what we think about each player, or anything that would begin another flame war on an otherwise helpful thread. I did the 20-24 camp in Nanawa Mines the other day fighting Cellar Puks, it was great. Full party not necessary as we were flowing with a Light Party (high physical lvls), but obviously the more the merrier since it has no effect on SP. The bridge section seems to only hold one good PT, and Wisps are good SP as well. They will pop in three parts and they aggro so be careful of engaging based on the last time you killed a Wisp.

Did the 40-42 raptors East of Iron lake with a light party R26-R31. Was great SP (~10k in a half hour), but ran out of mobs after 30mins. Decided to try Toto-Rak, good decision. Fun place to level, got around 17k for the full hour, but could've had more had we not wiped once.

I think toto-rak is the way to go from 25-31 (could probably do it earlier as well).

Oh, we also tried the Kobolds (~R41 east of Iron Lake) and they look awesome but are terrible for SP (for a light party atleast). They have more HP, attack harder, and give less SP than the raptors. Was still fun though!

I put the first FFXIV Camps page up here. Looking for any/all feedback on what people want to see.

Also, feel free to call me out on what's on the site, just give me examples to help me correct any bad information.

Not sure if it was said between page 5 and here (got sick of reading the ridiculous back and forth) but one such instance Ved-something-or-other was being vague about is the Ixali camp north of Treespeak node. If you have a light party from 34-39 you'll do all right but if you have 2-3 people max there from 39-44ish you will get a lot of exp with quick kills. You could also split your team up into 2 teams there. One team (preferably smaller) fights on the ledge above the camp, the other team fights in the heart of the camp.

    Hope this helps!

Was actually going to try those Ixali's tonight or tomorrow. Is the respawn rate pretty fast?

Also, there seem to be more even further north (according to yg). Are those any good?

I haven't tried the ones further north. The respawn at the camp is pretty good but you can be left around waiting ~30seconds for repops sometimes if you bring too many people. The ones on the ledge are lower levels (40-45 I think) and the ones in the camp are higher (up to 48 or 49).

As 7 people R32-35 we would clear the camp, use Return to go to Treespeak node and then clear some Efts/Ixali on the ledge/boars until the camp would fully respawn. We managed ~24k SP/hr. I'd suggest having 3 of those (healer+2DD) to just hang on the ledge and kill those while the other 4 hang in the camp though. The higher the level the less you should bring. 4 or 5 people max R37-39, we just sat around and waited 30sec to kill repops, was slower SP/hr. Duo/trio there 39-44 would be ideal.

ok because i said id comment on this camp

yes i have used it, BUT its one of those camps where there just arent enough good close mobs to keep it going. you end up either running a long time to transition between the 3 "camps" the ixalis spawn at(and they are in no way close to each other, 2 are up top on opposite ends of the crystal and 1 is below) and what ends up happening, is you are running so much you are losing out on sp that could be gained better at another camp.

granted this is a nice relaxed camp you can still earn 15k sp an hour at even at rank 42 or so, if you justs it in the lower camp(the upper camps have rank 40 mobs, the lower camp has high 40s mobs)
but it isnt the camp i was thinking of

I just wanted to give a big shoutout/giant hug to everyone in this thread that provided useful information with the intent of being helpful. Thank you Xoo for getting the ball rolling. You got simultaneously ridiculed for providing a list of grind camps but not bolding the preferred grinding spots. All from players who claimed to know which ones were best, but refused to share their "hidden secrets". No one should have an elitist attitude in this game yet, especially since the game engine is still being reworked, bare-bones content is still being worked on, and we are all considered noobs atm. To think of yourself as an elite player at this point in time in the game should be embarrassing.

The law of the internet states that any site with enough popularity and no ban-stick moderators will start looking like Youtube comments. They aren't trolls, just unhelpful players with deconstructive criticism.

ErnieKeebler, the site looks wonderful! I like the personal touch of mob pictures and advice on how fights may proceed. Are you the only one working on it, or are you planning on making it into a wiki-type format where others can contribute their suggestions?

It's basically just me compiling. I took Xoo's list, made a few changes from my recent experiences, and I'm basically going from there. I'll visit each and take notes on mob moves and such. Where possible, my static will grind jobs there.

I didn't want to use a wiki format, because there are jerks out there that like to spread misinformation and/or outright try to keep things hidden. Visitors can leave comments at the bottom of each camp's page, allowing them to offer suggestions and/or personal experiences with each camp. Through these comments, I can adjust information, such as level ranges where EXP/SP grinding for each camp is worthwhile. Since I can only grind so many jobs up through the ranks, I cannot verify everything myself, so these comments will be invaluable. Also, to touch back on the jerks, it's a pain in the ass to clean up that stuff day after day.

Once the majority of the work is done, the site will only need casual editing for game fixes that tweak mob levels and abilities, or updates that bring new player abilities, opening new doors.
