If you reduce the cooldown timer on leves or let players do them more they will absolutely burn out on leves. I would personally increase the leve timer to 48 hours, especially if Square, and most people, don'tt want leves to be the focus of the game in the future.
Leves are repetitive, extremely tedious, and require more travel time than combat time: AKA, they have most of the qualities that drive players away from games and not towards them.
A better option is getting an alternative way to earn guild marks than only through leves.

And they are also currently the best method for gaining sp for people who can't log a lot of time online. Let's not forget about that. Increasing the leve reset timer does not solve the issues you pointed out. We're in a transitional patch. We were all aware of that going into this one.And they are also currently the best method for gaining sp for people who can't log a lot of time online. Let's not forget about that. Increasing the leve reset timer does not solve the issues you pointed out. More variety, more interesting tasks, and better travel would do more for them.
Sorry for not being clearer. The focus of the game isn't supposed to be leves, but the content that the focus IS supposed to be on isn't in the game.
Its also been stated that they want to have players not penalized for missing leves, which hints at some sort of bonus for not doing leves constantly.
That's basically what I mean by this being a transitional patch - it's rough and things aren't quite like they should be.
