I remember many player say leviathan ex was too easy, and yes it was..
I think Ramuh ex even if i down it need to be in vocal to be down, it mean you need people with your native language in ts or mumble.
And if i understand it with the Coil, i think the ex primal should be hard but something you can do with pugs, exept hunt and dgn and other grindy things, it lack content to do with pugs now.
it's fine to have the coil to do with the fc but there is static with little time of play.
also static who never end to be not full.

Kensatsu is saying that there is a sharp divide in difficulty between EX Primal content and SCoB. He laments the fact that he doesn't have very much to work towards at the moment and does not feel like he can attempt SCoB because he lacks a static. He wishes for some kind of content that isn't as hard as coil so it wont require a static to be successful at, but harder than the EX Primals. (He suggest making EX Primals more difficult)

My Response:
Balancing is always hard. In the short term I would just try SCoB, there are always party finder groups so you don't need a static to learn and run it. If you are having difficulty 2.4 will probably add an echo to SCoB in order to help you clear it.

i try again, this is not what i was saying.
I think Ramuh ex is not great with pugs, you need them in vocal because you need a lot of organization.
I think Primal ex should be hard, but not with strategy like the ramuh one.
And i think Primal ex should not be like Coil because you aren't going to do it only with your FC.
Titan EX was hard and din't need vocal like in ramuh ex fight, titan ex was more pugs friendly.
i am in a static but we aren't full everyday, and sometimes we can't raid for a week.
We still need more pugs friendly content other than grinding stuff like elite hunt and simple dgn.
I don't see often ramuh ex PF, i still see the leviathan one more often in my server, it certainly mean players advoid this with pugs

Ah. Yes, I agree with you to some extent. I've never seen so many listings in PF asking for voice chat. It's a little disheartening for people who don't have the specific VOIP needed or don't have the time/tech to set it up.

This especially hurts PS3/4 only players since they can't use a voip on their system(this may have changed for PS4, do not know) Their only alternative is to have a PC nearby for them to use just for VOIP or their mobile phone. I certainly don't think content should be easier, but there is definitely a rift here when the game is on systems with no native support for VOIP.

Kind of agree with this for a different reason then pugs. Seems a waste to use an interesting twist on the t5 fireball/conflag mechanic on a primal. Would love to see this swapped with the ballistic missile mechanics.

Imagine having to run homing missiles into people marked with ballistic missile to hide them in the chaff clouds.

My girl plays on PS3 (despite my protests to get PC) so its incredibly frustrating for her especially when shes healing or something. Trying to type out 'Hey dood, don't forget to do this' rather than saying it isn't an option. Voice comms have become increasingly involved in online gaming and it is a handicap to not have them, yet we've a game developed for systems that do not support voice comms.

Again, so hard cores don't get the wrong idea I do not want content nerfed I don't even agree with the Echo buff but with the state of some of the community not being able to listen, trolling, lack of voice comms its a real pita to actually get stuff done in a timely manner and without wanting to choke someone through the interwebz.

There are a lot of people who play just because this is a final fantasy title, they want to experience the story and the nostalgia the game's cameos and references give them. They may not be the MMO-type or new to the genre, as unused as EVE's in-game voice was something like this might serve a good purpose in FF since its cross platform. I dare say, needed.

i think primal ex should not requiert vocal to make them possible with pugs of any native language, it can be hard without involving any vocal
Also for coil PS3/4 user may need a vocal in game, maybe to get everyone used with the vocal.
And maybe we don't see often ramuh ex pf for this reason, but also because the loot is only ilvel100 when we can get ilvel110 gear easy with the hunt, ramuh ex still one of the latest content but not needed anymore ?
I understand SE put grindy open world stuff to make ppl play to the game, but i think it need to be more balanced between the instance like ramuh ex and elite hunt (a little late but i hope it can be more balanced for the next content)
