    Please SE fix your drop rates....

    I have been running ST Non stop for the past 7 days.... not a single tank drop... i understand RNG is RNG but days with about 10-12 runs a day... and NOTHING FOR TANKS? I have missed out on a weeks worth of drops so i can try to gear out my warrior for coil...but 7 days of not dropping a single belt or boots or chest or legs or headpiece... seriously what the heck is going on here? I have run as multiple jobs and still have not seen any tank loot drop at all for the past week.



    Is this is just me? or are other tanks also noticing this?

    Yeah I've seen it some weeks where no tank gear seems to drop. It might be crappy drop rates, but most will just come to this thread to tell you "RNG is RNG." I doubt SE can or will do anything about it.

    Nah, it's just bad luck. I see tank gear all the time but not the monk/dragoon gear I want.

    Two weeks ago when I was looking for scholar gear, all I saw was monk gear. >.>

    RNG is RNG. I see nothing but tank drops some runs. You do realize it has to randomly shift through quite a few sets along with ending items like UAT, Minion, Throne Gem and Oil of Time, right? They can't fix what isn't broken - Unless they determine drops, e.g creating at least 20 more bosses, there's no way to "fix" what isn't broken.

    Yeah RNG is terrible. I've been running ST since launch, (and this is not an exaggeration) I see nothing but Caster/Healer gear. Each run at minimum 2-3 drops are one of those Jobs.

    The entire game suffers pretty heavily from this. During the first run of binding coil, it took me seven months until we saw the Monk gloves drop once, and that was only after the coil loot lockout was lifted and we could farm it over and over. Seven months and we never saw a piece of loot drop, and it drove me absolutely insane, because it was BiS for my Monk and it just never dropped.

    Now, in coil two we got a bit of a late start, but it's been about four or so months and we've seen literally doubles or triples (or four/five in some cases) of everything from 6-8 sans the healing boots, the monk body, and the casting ring. Which we haven't seen once. Granted, the monk body isn't BiS for me, but that doesn't mean I don't want it until I get the sand for the rest of my gear (because forget doing hunts) and for vanity. Every week is literally the same loot over and over again. We've gotten probably four or five tank boots, three or four pairs of tank gloves, double of the rest of the tank gear (which I won't complain about, as I play Warrior in coil despite maining Monk) and double or triple of every bard piece. Only a small handful of caster and healer gear split between four people.

    But every week it's just more tank and bard gear, and nothing else. We've dubbed it the binding coil of disappointment, because every week that's all it is.

    I certainly don't want gear handed to me on a silver platter, but at some point it's just like "Really? Am I ever going to see this drop before they remove the loot lockout?"
    So far, it seems like no, you probably won't.

    I think it is on purpose to make tanks come to ST

    Oh sorry Tank gonna have to wait next time, oh it didn't drop well better luck next time and the time before that and the time before that oh it dropped but you already have that piece better luck next time.

    While I don't run ST heavily, I too have never seen tank loot drop.

    I see a bunch of every role, but most of the time it's either MNK or DRG gloves/pants.

    This sort of thing happens when you have an individual loot for each of the eight (six for the four body-pieces) classes and you're only getting 2 drops per. Some of the equips are consolidated based on roles requiring the same stats, such as healers, casters and tank (Healing, Casting and Fending pieces), but not the case between DRG and MNK (Maiming and Striking Pieces) and BRD being the only one utilizing dexterity (Aiming). That inconsistency is something I never really understood since afaik MNK and DRG desire the same stats more or less... And I'm further confused by the fact they have jewelries appropriate for both classes (Slaying).

    One thing they could do is work on a token exchange system similar to what WoW did for their first expansion; A boss would drop a token for one of the main body pieces (Head, hands, Legs, Feet) and they would be exchangeable/appraised for the relevant equipment slot for the classes eligible. Example...

    Allagan Gloves of the Derp - PLD, MNK, THM
    Allagan Gloves of the Cheesemaker - WAR, BRD, SCH
    Allagan Gloves of the Winemaker - DRG, SMN, WMN

    The Glove tokens can be exchanged for a piece of gear for those classes in each category. It'd allow for more diverse looking gear (WAR and PLD don't share the same armor skin and have their own unique one). It's just an example, it could be further categorized with the introduction of Ninja, (although I wouldn't pair tokens based on roles/stats, otherwise groups would feel obligated to bring a certain class just so loot doesn't get wasted more than it already is)

    Accessories would stay the same, if not get rid of the Maiming and Striking pieces on Bracers (unless this is considered a main body piece) and consolidate them into Slayer's. Weapons also stay the way they are since they are technically the best slot upgrades for each class no matter how you slice it.
