Evening guys, this little quirk i have noticed in the past but brushed off as just me forgetting to do stuff before i logged out or thinking i mustn't have done it.

Let me explain, i play on both PS4 and PC depending where i am in the house.

I have noticed in the past that i may have put retainers on 18 hour ventures, on the PC, then logged on to the PS4 later that day and they are not on ventures.
I passed this off as me forgetting or thinking i didn't do it.


Today at 5pm on the PC I Fed My chocobo's Dye food, about 100k's worth, got the "your Chocobo is growing new feathers" continued to feed etc.

i have just logged back in now 6 hours later to check the colouring, (on the PS4 mind) to find that its like i never did it.

I am certain i'm not going insane lol but i'm pretty sure there must be a Long outstanding glitch here that has been overlooked.

I dont wanna waste my gil or time on something that SE themselves likes us to do, (otherwise they wouldn't allow us to cross platforms)

Now i don't have a new coloured chocobo and i'm 100k+ lighter in Gil.

Seems the displayed cooldown for Ventures is stored locally but when you click into it then it updates with the proper cooldown from the server.
Not sure about the Chocobo feeding side of it though.

Yeah, different platforms aren't very good at syncing up on timers and such. On the off chance that I play on my laptop, I notice that the venture timers are set from when my laptop last sent my retainers on ventures, and doesn't update until I call on my retainers. As for your chocobo, you probably need to go back on your PC so that the color does change.

Did that right away after logging out of the PS4, still nothing showing up, guess i've lost that one, but its still not right.

Ooh, that sounds like you found a bug. Might wanna file a bug report then.

What exactly did you feed it? There's the chance that the food you gave it resulted in the same color you currently had maybe?

Chocobo is Sunset Orange at the min, i fed it some Deepening red fruit, heading towards a soot black chocobo, there was no cutscene etc, i have 2 characters different accounts which i did it on both at the time, this characters chocobo changed (did that back on the PC after this problem) , my Alt's never (which i tried 1st),

Did your chocobo actually say it was growing new feathers? You sometimes need to feed multiple fruit to trigger a change in colour and there's some degree of RNG involved too as the same combination does not always yield the same result.

yeah it said it 6 times, as to where i stopped and logged out, 1st feed didn't but then the latter ones did,
