bought steam game cant use time for other account?

might not be the right place.
want a refund if possible i was informed before hand that you could link the accounts and/or us the free trial period on my other account at least.

that doesnt seem to be the case and the steam version of the game does me no good i was only buying it for the 30 days.

"A Square Enix Account without any previous Windows version of FFXIV registered, may receive 30 days of free game time. "

says that directly on the game , doesnt say o but u cant use it on a non steam account.

sorry i understand the payment method from steam to non steam not carrying over but this is just a code for the game.

tl;dr bought game for steam for 25$. cant use code on 1.0 account want my money back.

That sounds like a steam issue, ask them to give your money back

A steam account is just a windows account, so no it cannot be applied to an account that already has the windows version on it.

Just checked, it even says this specifically on the page, so it is your fault.

Nvm, reread and you mentioned this, but again, you had a 1.0 account, so you should have known since 1.0 was windows only.
For the 2nd account, as long as you havent put a Windows copy on the account it will work.

More than likely you can not get a refund in any form. With how I see it, Steam cant refund it because they have no way to tell you didnt use the code, SE cant refund because you bought it from Steam (not from SE)

You can't add the same version of the game to the account twice. That's like trying to put two hot dog wieners in one hot dog bun. I don't even know why you thought that would work, tbh
