One Year - Thank You for this game!

Pre-1st year in Eorzea and I'm loving it. Just wish they would introduce more on Character Customization and do something about those Money spammers.

But overall, I'm LOVING this game.

From a Happy Hyur living in Lich World in a nice Free Company as a Architect Rank giving a Smile to the Directer, Producers, Artist, Designers and everyone else in the making of Final Fantasy XIV : A Realm Reborn and Happy Anniversary!!

Everyone's done an amazing job, but I would especially like to thank Soken for crafting some of the best game music ever (in my opinion). In many places it fades into the environment really well, and you don't really notice it at all until you play with no sound. Been listening to the ARR soundtrack almost non-stop the past weeks while commuting to and from work

(That's not to say Uematsu's soundtrack for 1.0 wasn't good, but I feel Soken's music fits better.)

I just wanted to say I'm really glad that SE is taking actions against RMT. It's been my experience that not many MMO staff care enough to do something about it.

This game is worth every penny! Thanks Square Enix!

I really love this game, and I regret my initial reactions of annoyance towards it when it first came out, especially accusing a good friend of planning on leaving me alone in another game to play this. Ironically, I ended up ditching that other game and that friend to play this, but I got him to play with me. I only started in October of 2013 after doing some research on a new MMO to play and this looked the best, and P2P. I took a long break due to having a bad computer in November of 2013, but started playing again over the summer, after buying into the Wildstar hype and buying and playing that, only to leave a week after release for this.

I think I've had a funny love-hate relationship with this game, especially since it ended in love. The devs are wonderful and I love Soken's music so much, it's the best music I've heard in an MMO since Ragnarok Online - this is the only game I've played in the past 6 years where I've just listen to the music while playing.

I also wanted to say, even though I don't agree with all the decisions made so far, you have truly transformed "Final Fantasy XIV" in ARR / 2.0+ into something I never thought could be saved (during 1.0 launch).

You have made a beautiful, gorgeous world, with Landmarks and interesting elements (instead of the 1.0 Copy & Paste landscape), more interesting creatures around, a much better Newbie experience (starting the game --> 50), and solid UI Design / Polish, etc. So,

Together, we have finally come to a year in this game with many uncountable memories with friends, the community, the characters we created, and the events that took place in the world of Eorzea. We have experience the positive and the negative; we all of whom have lost a dear friend - ones who may have quit the game or perhaps took a break; however, we stood by and encourage ourselves to continue forth our adventures and adapt to these circumstances. We strive for the good of this game and endured the difficulties, thus we still stand.

In this One Year Anniversary celebration; as your Empress, /bow - I humbly give my thanks and honor to the astonishing efforts to SE, all of the FFXIV: Team, the Devs and especially Yoshi, all of whom have persevered throughout the year of this games progression. I continue to look forward with the upcoming patch of 2.4 and the expansion of this game, including many years to come. To the players of Eorzea, Cheers!

It's been over a year now since I've played this game, I remember playing in Beta Phase 3 on PS3 back then. It was my first time ever playing an MMO before, and had no idea what a Gladiator was supposed to do, but I slowly learned.

This screenshot was taken from my PS3 not long after beginning to create my FC on September 1st 2013 when I was still a Gladiator, and still had a long way to go.


I've met a lot of people in this game, and some very close friends. I've had my moments of frustration and of joy, laughing and crying, this game and this world mean a lot to me.

Thank you Yoshida and everyone out there in Eorzea, I'm looking forward to the years ahead through the future patches and expansions to see what the future holds for me.



See you all in Eorzea... when the servers come back online that is...

Although I did play back in 1.0 I rarely had a chance to with work and such like, but thanks to a good friend for introducing me to ARR after they had played the alpha & beta - and have a legacy character as well. (I sadly don't since I now live in Europe and not within the UK and with the IP restrictions yeah..)

That aside though I do not regret coming to this game, or the fact I am ridiculously addicted to it. So many wonderful things have happened, the events, the story everything is and I want to thank Yoshi-P and indeed everyone for giving us such a fantastic game.
