Not actually engaged to mobs, but still fighting them and killing them.

    Here's the info :\

    - I'm killing these doblyns in Nanawa Mines.
    - They're fighting back.
    - I get TP from hitting them.
    - I lose TP as if I were out of combat at the same time.
    - There is no battle music going on.
    - the name isn't red, but I have an aggro blip.
    - I get no Skill or Experience points.

    :\

Update: I logged out and logged back in.

I killed a monster solo and it worked fine, but when I rejoined the group (Most of them were out of Nanawa mines) the same thing happened.

I had a JP Conj with me killing the mobs. Not sure if this is relevant, just throwing out all info I have. <_>

I'll see if my party members have the same problem when they're here.

Edit>> Just noticed my chat log said "Party leader is in a different area; Unable to claim mob." I bet this has something to do with it. :P

Kind of annoying you can even fight the mob when you're not allowed to claim it. >.>; What's the reason for this whole situation of not "claiming" when a party leader is out of the area?

I think it's an issue with the game mechanics and how the servers work. If the leader is on a different server (different area) the experience, loot, etc. can't be calculated. Don't think this needs to be changed though as nobody is really bothered by it.

This is intentional claim mechanics currently for the game where you cannot claim a monster without your party leader in range so that a group cannot simply hold a NM while the group is not together and ready to fight. It would be unfair to allow a single group of players to be able to claim and hold NMs around the world at the same time.

Also if your party is fighting another monster(s) and is claimed by your group in range, you still cannot claim any other parties of monsters. It needs a lot of work but what you're explaining sounds right. One party of players can claim only one party of monsters at a single time is the current mechanic.
