As such, we're looking into introducing new categories to the market board to help sort out the miscellaneous. However, as this will require the market board user interface to be modified, actual adjustments may come further down the road.

More importantly, why are seeds, topsoil and fertilizer in the "Outdoor furnishing" category? this makes little sense and it took me (no joke) 5 months to actually find them without having to look them up in Lodestone or XIVDB and then searching by name, one by one.We agree that over time the amount of items that belong to the "Miscellany" category has been growing rapidly. I agree that this has a place in the "Housing" group, but could we please have a "Gardening" sub-category?

Thanks for the tip !

Unfortunately a major pain in the butt with search is in a lot of cases you have to know the full item name and put that in. There's a lot of items that wont come up with partial, or one-of-the-words searches. :\

I do not know hard this would be from a development standpoint, but along with adding new/sub categories to the market board would it be possible to be able pick how much of an item I want to buy from stacks (2-99) of materials? I know FFXI had this feature and its very frustrating when you only need a small amount of something, yet people are selling stacks of 99 :P
hahahah that happen to me too XDMore importantly, why are seeds, topsoil and fertilizer in the "Outdoor furnishing" category? this makes little sense and it took me (no joke) 5 months to actually find them without having to look them up in Lodestone or XIVDB and then searching by name, one by one.

You're asking to kill the whole-sale/retail-sale method.. and promoting RMT/BOT system, they will overflow the markets and ALL of us will end up buying most mats from them for 1 gil (cheap yes, fun no, game ruined).

How will this promote RMT? RMT will be there regardless if I "have" to buy the stack of 99 or if I can simply choose to buy 10 from that stack. In my opinion it would help alleviate flooding, because I no longer have to put 15 stacks of 5-10. I can put 2 stacks of 99 and people may buy what they wish. This was discussed here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...the-marketward.
