    The Void Realms (idea for a new zone)

    This idea came to me after the latest patch and the whole Syrcus Tower incident. The Void seems to be a strange place indeed. This place is still vastly shrouded in mystery to us Eorzeans however; which brings me to the idea! What if in a future expansion they could make it so we could traverse and explore this Void world? The potential to have a really cool place added into the current content is right in front of our faces. Since we all know of the monstrosities that the void seems to spew out from time to time the creatures inside of this realm would have to be quite strong and would require a group of four to ensure our survival. What if you could take up group quests in a party of four and have to use teamwork to solve twisted puzzles and defeat vicious beings? Now to fit into the lore you have to go in the Void with protection; maybe have something like a special lantern that is made out of unaspected crystal. The crystal lantern's light would keep the void at bay thus enabling you to safely travel this strange place. That would mean that the zone would be placed on a timer much like dungeons are now. Once the timer runs out its game over and you are removed from this world to be placed back out into Eorzea. Once in Eorzea again you could wait a certain amount of game time for the lantern to auto-charge itself or you could buy a "charging device" from a vendor (which could also be produced by the Alchemists Profession). This would be beneficial if you are in a rush to get back into the zone. The ambiance of this realm would need to be as equally twisted as the creatures themselves thus the music would need to be a similar to Tam-Tara Deepcroft (HM) or similar to Pharos. Buildings and different structures could be distorted much like the newest version of the Devil May Cry series' were. Plus not to mention this would give SE a whole new style to their teamwork gameplay beyond just dungeons, FATES, raids and primals. I have to admit that I got this idea mainly from FF11's Chains of Promathia. I enjoyed that content a lot but I'd like to see it made into the FF14 style of play that we all love and set it apart from the FF11 expansion because this game is not FF11 after all. Anyways; this is just my idea of a new thing to do in game and I'm interested to hear back from the community on this so please feel free to share your ideas on here as well.
