Threads seem to be getting closed a lot lately for trash talking

Got closed down and just looking at the last few pages it became painfully clear why, but honestly guys how can we let things get that bad? When it doesn't even become about the topic and instead personal bickering.

I feel like instead of bashing each other for "Complaining"/"White Knighting"/"Trolling" we should just enter each thread trying to produce something of value to the respective topic.

We should act mature, polite, and civil like I hope many of you do to other people in real life. Not as many threads would get closed that way with good topics for discussion.

the threads mostly getting closed are caused by a few specific people(dubont being one of them) who just like to insult people as their means of debate
and then it spirals out of control from there

then you got the gifthorse/force whatever hes calling his non banned names threads these days who get closed cuz they are bad to begin with

threads get closed because those who can't accept the fact that others disagree with them go on and troll the post...much like mine...right from the start, the thread was getting trolled because I didn't think 1.18 was the "god of all patches."

I just don't understand how people can go into a FORUM (i.e. a place for creativity, discussion, and community) thinking "if this person doesn't agree with me I will DESTROY THEIR SOUL!"

I'm guilty of this as well, but I feel like slowly I've begun to understand how trifling and stupid it is to make a post based on raw emotion.

People on the interwebz think they're internet "Tough Guys" and can do whatever the hell they want. As long as folks can hide behind a screen they will troll.

I sometimes think people do this sort of thing intentionally to get devs to close out threads they disagree with by picking fights with everyone hoping to get a reaction.

I also don't understand how everyone who is defending 1.18 says it's god of patches on one hand while saying we need to wait to critique the new direction of the game for another 3 patches on the other. =/
