Crafters and Gatherer's UNITE!

So, I'm definite I'm not alone in wanting to level just One class out of the DoH, I'm having fun doing it, so why not?

BUT, man is it expensive when you don't gather your own materials... sigh~ oh well

Anyone out there would like to join hands and limit the use of the Market board as much as possible, I know it's profitable, But I'm sure you'd like to get what you need with other means...

Idea? Simple. A simple Friendship/Linkshell -whichever works best (Maybe both?)- where we all help each other, and maybe rather than using gils to buy off the other we can instead exchange goods that we crafts/gather ourselves.
I know it might not work very well when 1-on-1, but with a group of people it should work

This is just the principle of it all, if you'd like to add to it, make a suggestion please, feel free

Hmm. I haven't leveled DoH much at all (too busy doing other things), but if you do mainly leves, you can actually make gil from levelling DoH instead of spending it. A lot of leves reward you with raw materials which you can use on other/later level leves for example. If you happen to get some HQ items, leves are also great exp. I've gotten my weaver up to around 30-ish purely by leves, and never had to buy anything from the market board.

That said, I wouldn't mind helping out crafters when I can. I have levelled miner to 50, but haven't done much of anything with it after getting it to 50. Wouldn't mind spending some time once in a while mining some nodes for people. I do at some point want to get everything to 50, but that's going to take a while. I somehow always end up helping people with dungeons and relic fights and whatnot

Say would you freak your friendship? If you don't mind, that is.... Or a LS so Everyone gets to be in contact with Everyone... (when there is more than just us two...)

Yeah, the leves aren't always very efficient.. Usually the 2 levels before you get a new leve level range (so, 28 and 29) take a while, and then 30 can take a while because the leves want you to make items that are quite a few levels above you. There are also leves that ask for 3 items, but which also give you the option to hand in another 3 items twice, so that's extra exp without wasting additional leve allowances. Another thing to check is your grand company. You can hand in crafted items there as well.

If you want to level fast, your best bet is to see if someone would want to make HQ items for your leves, but not many people to that stuff for free of course.

As for a linkshell.. Once more people show some interest, setting up a shell might be the best option, but for now it's not really necessary.

Oh, 1 other thing, while my miner is 50, I don't have any of the top gear, so I can't really get all those special high end materials yet.

IT 's so TRUE!! it's frustrating when it the leve's loose their big Exp effect on my bar! It becomes so so SLOW! But oh well...

As for top gear, Sad to say as you can see lvl 50 of ANY class is kindof a far fetched dream at the moment, with my current pace, Sigh~ can't be helped

On the other hand, if there is ANYthing a lowly Alchemist (currently lvl 25) such as myself can provide you, I'm more than ready to provide it -If i'm capable that is- don't hesitate to ask

I wouldn't worry too much about the levels. The most important thing is to have fun while levelling, and not burn yourself out grinding to 50. I've been playing since the original FFXIV release and I still don't have everything to 50. That said, if you ever need some help running a dungeon on one of your DoM/DoW classes, I can always help with that. I do like doing dungeons

I'm not sure what alchemists can create actually, I haven't looked into it all that much. However, I did notice that a lot of the raw materials for alchemists are obtained by mining, so I guess if you need any materials I can always go out and do a bit of mining.
