    Love thy healer as thyself ...

    Hello everyone ,


    ... well, after patch 1.18 our gameplay has changed drastically and is affecting us not
    that ... pleasant as before.

    Really, NOW it looks like:

    Healer can not heal properly and tanks cannot tank anymore.

    Actually, they (unconsciously) switched places on the battlefield ... O.O


    So, basically, all the instant hate (=enmity) goes mostly on healers ('cause healing spells generate much more enmity (o_O?)),
    they are unable to heal properly and that often, cause of horrible MP regain & regeneration skills and poor TP generation, not mention heal spells costs.

    On the other side, tanks are limited to their abilities to tank by reason of irrational AutoAttack delay timer and cuts in using TP skills.
    They are forced to heal themselves more frequently while their healers instantly run out of MP...


    ... Really, only permanent healing & mindless runs are ... boring and let you only 'hate' your job ...


    At least, please, give us our beloved AoE on anything (!, as well as Sacrifice I + II +
    III and SiphonMP I + II ) back !
    ... and AutoAttack need delay & cooldown timer fix, too ...

    Reasonable advice to all the AoE haters:
    please, go to your ingame shell,
    type in ' /aoe off '
    and DONT you DARE to touch your 'AoE' or 'Z' button EVER AGAIN !
    ... Or just simply get used to it ... #rolleyes


    Please, fix that in future patches ...

    And yet there are videos on youtube of a single tank managing to keep hate by himself of the ogre in darkhold while being healed by a single conjurer...

    Not knowing how to deal with the new system doesnt mean it doesnt work.

    I do agree that the mp cost of the cure spells is a bit high though.

    Indeed. AoE corebomb as it was made no sense...but raising this much the costs now and also making them only cure 1 target at a time was terrible.

    I actually agreed about all CON and THM changes except by healing spells' MP cost and basic attack recasts.

    Yet another "I don't want to learn how to use the new system so change it back" thread. Do we need to go over the same points again? You can't just do the same things you did before patch and give up if it doesn't work. Change how you play and you will be rewarded with success.

    Tell that to the casual players who like to solo regional leves. They're now 500% more difficult as a conjurer.

    This is a VERY true point. Mages now are having some really hard time soloing stuff...my sister, who is very casual, basically gave up playing after seeing how CON was after patch.

    I agree, and yet I don't agree.

    People should adapt to changes, of course. But radical adaptation just to barely get by? That doesn't seem right, nor is it remotely "fun".

    MP costs for cures are horrible. They aren't to scale at all, especially at lower levels.

    I don't find it any more difficult to solo leves as Conjurer after this patch. If anything, the lack of stamina bar helps me better manage all my abilities.

    I do agree that MP costs on cures are a bit high. More than a bit actually, but it hasn't really had any impact on my ability to solo. I still rarely have to resort to Tranquility while solo. I would find it helpful to have the Tranquility cool down cut to 5 minutes while in a party. And non-healers have to learn to readjust so we can take a breather now and then.

    As for Curaga, I prefer it for stupid reasons. It's very 'Final Fantasy'.. especially FFXI. When Cure is an AoE, it's Curaga. Might as well make it official.. I know.. stupid. I keep it out of my action bar when I'm solo and I swap it in when I'm in a party. It prevents the odd stupid AoE mistake. Curing tends to be a bit more frantic than nuking. Having a dedicated AoE cure helps me mitigate that. The MP cost just shouldn't be outrageous compared to the single cures.

    The MP costs aren't even bad when you actually play the game. MP management is back in style now, just get used to it, they could lower the costs by 20-30 mp max, but thats about it. It does require more thought to be a mage now, if they added thought to all classes not sure. An mp sink still isn't challenge, they should beef up challenge for everyone and not just make it zerg mob before healer runs out of mp, but this is beginning of the battle changes, emphasis on beginning.

    I don't use curaga while on my conj mid battle too much hate, so it is xi like. Waiting for Cure IV to have weird hate lol, even when cure V doesn't. ^^

    I really just want to see THM fit a real role next patch, instead of being iffy.

    this is just the start they going to fix the hate more in later patch maybe you should read before posting a pointless topic. not trying to be rude but people really need to read that 1.18 is only the start of hate control and class balancing.
