    Give subscribers an extra day of subscription time to make up for maint/downtime.

    I suggest that Square Enix seriously considers doing this. While I understand that maintenance is integral to keep the game running smoothly and making sure that everything works properly, sometimes it really takes away from the time players have actually playing the game.

    Given that everyone is paying for a one-month subscription, they should have the opportunity to play for just that should they choose to (Realistically everyone can't be on all the time, so I realize that most people don't fully use their time regardless but.. its the principle.

    However, this is not the case. We have weekly/bi-weekly maintenance that go for anywhere from 3-4 hour on average (sometimes more, sometimes less-though I haven't seen an early finish maintenance in quite a while now) which is bearable most of the time, and understandable since at the very least it is scheduled during less active hours for that particular server or group of servers, and is important to the upkeep of the game. BUT then we also have the Data center maintenances, the random and increasingly frequent emergency maintenances, the uncontrollable problems with PSN being down or in maintenance itself-meaning Playstation users couldn't play during that time even if they wanted to- and the various other causes of server down time.

    This month has been particularly bad in terms of added maintenance and down-time, which is saying something considering that on average, during a month players already lose about 12 or more hours to maintenance- which brings me back to my original point. We as players and paying customers pay for a monthly subscription, we may or may not use that month fully to our advantage and make the most of our time, but as paying customers we don't really have an option to once you take a look at how much time is lost waiting on maintenance, hotfixes and data center management.

    A show of good will and understanding from Square Enix would be as simple (or maybe not I don't really know) as adding an extra day on to player subscriptions. The problem with maintenance times is that even the shortest maintenance tends to add up when it comes to hours, and I wouldn't be surprised if maintenance this month has added up to being over 24-30 hours...

    Please consider some form of compensation or at least a show of goodwill for the players, who pay for a monthly subscription, but don't exactly have the ability or means to fully utilize an actual month due to constant maintenance and server down time.

    Firstly, you can simply edit your first post to get around the 1000 character limit instead of posting multiple times.

    Secondly, as you said maintenance is an essential part of the game. But it's actually in the Terms of Service that you agreed to when you registered your account, that they can take the game down at any time, for whatever reason, without any compensation to you, the player.

    Having said that, SE have in fact compensated players in the past for severe disruptions to the game/downtime - but only when it's been longer than a few days of constant problems. A few hours of downtime simply doesn't warrant compensation.

    It has been multiple days. There's literally been problems the last few WEEKS. Maybe not on your server, but game-wide there has been. Secondly, I don't post enough on forums to know that so "sorry". I'm not DEMANDING COMPENSATION, so pls don't spin it that way. I know enough about games to know that yes its in the disclaimer that they can do what they want when they want regardless of subscription or not, but the point was more to bring attention to the issue that damn.. a few days of constant problems (including right now for NA, EU) maybe a little compensation would be nice. A few hours? In this last week we're going on more than a few hours of lost game time.Please refrain from making this post sound like ppl are begging for something that isn't meant to be nor will be given to them. There has been a serious loss of game time these last few weeks, and its due its proper attention.

    its not. There are 4 total servers down right now, have been down since 7 pst, 4 hrs later at 11 pst SE announced another 4-5 hours would probably be needed to recover. This is coming on the heels of problems n not being able to play yesterday, as well as 2 separate emergency maintenances last week within 2 days of each other and oh a maintenance where jp servers were up early but NA ones took extra time to go up. You act like even just the 4 servers of people are ok with not being able to play for 8 plus hours. No. Check guildwork, reddit, any of those other places. Many just don't want to post for fear of getting banned for complaining. While what I wrote might be seen that way, at least I explained my reasoning.
