The price of different server

That's how all MMOs are.

We have an item with a 300 money value.
I just want to clear out my inventory and get some spending money, I sell it for 250 money.
You want to sell the item for what it's worth and in doing so make some money, you sell it for 300 money.
They want to maximize the amount of money gained, so they find a sucker and they sell it for 500 money.

Of course this is just scratching the surface, I'm not an MMO economist so I won't delve deeper.
