Connextion error failure to connect to lobby server

it will nopt even connect to the data center and even when i tried to log into the forums i got an error saying that i was force-ably removed from loging in..

I was logged in doin my Lv45 Paladin quest, and after i got one of the gear pieces i equipped it. As i was converting the old gear into materia, i tried to move a piece of gear in my Armory and it gives me an error.
I think "no biggie i'll just redo the conversion". But it turns out that I can't do anything because the game "Cannot execute command while handling items" I can't spawn any quest enemies, move items in my inventory, or even draw/sheath my weapon cuz of that.
But I think "oh well i'll just exit the game and log back in, that usually fixes small bugs like this" but the same error keeps me from hitting the logout button or the exit button. So i open my PC's task manager and end the task so force the game to close, which it does without a fuss, but when i try logging back in now i'm suddenly getting slammed with the 2002 Error and it can't connect to the database. Tried waiting for 10 min to give my char a chance to disappear from the game, but that didn't make the error go away either.

So much for hitting 50 on my Paladin tonight so I can raid tomorrow night after work

yeah I am getting the same error as well. I was in transition from a failed Titan (Hard) back into North Shroud when I got a 90k or something like it, and now I can't log in because I keep getting told I can't connect to the Lobby Server.

I haven't closely followed the DDoS news. But I believe that is limited to the Playstation Network, and FFXIV service is only interrupted as a consequence of it. PC here, so I dont think that is it this time.

I am in Brynhildr and I am also getting the 2002 error no idea why since it worked fine last night... super disappointed. Been trying for the past hour or so to get on.
