Any way to play Summoner AND Scholar without hindering your attribute points?

Erm, pretty sure it swaps the attributes completely, including bonuses from gear. Doesn't it? TBH, I've not actually checked, but the spell description makes it sound like it should.

I do believe that you are correct in your assumption that it swaps the attributes with bonuses included. I have looked into it from this standpoint as well in terms of simply using Cleric Stance on SCH and have come across another issue. You get a decent stat bonus to either MND or INT depending on the Job Crystal you equip as well. I'm not anywhere where I can log in to confirm right now in terms of exact numbers but you lose the entire value of that bonus which is typically the largest gear based bonus for a job when using Cleric Stance.

So yeah, I'm no expert on the matter but that appears to be a thing as well...

After messing around with it for a bit, I found that a SMN is going to miss 30 INT a hell of a lot more than a SCH is going to miss 30 MND. Put them all in INT, and don't worry a bit about SCH. It's such a powerhouse healer anyway, when played well, that you're really not going to miss a few extra HP on your cures. The difference is miniscule enough that it really doesn't even matter all that much for SCH.

Because levelling an alt is hard? Level an alt. You get your 30 points where they should be AND play a high INT race for SMN and a high MND race for SCH.

Oh, and for all the other reasons an alt is great; double anything on lockout, including gil from challenge log, maps, CT/ST/Coil, retainer ventures, etc etc etc.
