Mapping out Chocobo Dye

I am currently stuck in a royal blue/regal purple loop on my quest for ink blue. Can anyone give me guidance on how to get to ink blue from royal blue? I'm totally willing to go one color change at a time, but I'm going nuts trying to get out of this loop, and any help/advice you guys can give me would be awesome and super appreciated!

Sunset Orange + Apple = Blood Red
Sunset Orange + Berries = ??? (Let me guess, Pumpkin Orange!)
Sunset Orange + Valfruit = ??? (Probably Pumpkin Orange?)
Sunset Orange + anything else = Pumpkin Orange

My friend, who is acting as one of my experimental subjects, did get Qiqirn Brown from Sunset Orange + Plums. Seems to be possible, but a lower chance.

Finally some change!

After feeding my Chocobo some berries yesterday I got Blood Red. Not exactly what I would have wished however.

Sunset Orange + Apple = Blood Red
Sunset Orange + Berries = Blood Red
Sunset Orange + Valfruit = ???
Sunset Orange + anything else = Pumpkin Orange

I already fed pears to my Chocobo, since it could give me Qiqirm Brown if the information in Snoot's spreadsheet is right

Well, unlike what was said in the spreadsheet, feeding pear on a Blood Red chocobo gave me Sunset Orange again. =_=

As stated before, there's a pretty large RNG factor involved.

Spent the last two days in the Regal Purple/Royal Blue loop and FINALLY got the following:
Regal Purple --> 13 Pears (to get 1 feather proc) --> Charcoal Grey

No clue if I took a step in the right direction towards Currant Purple, but it's something else to work with.

This was the path mine took at Charcoal Grey. Each step took 1-3 fruits to get the new feathers msg.

Charcoal Grey + Berries = Shadow Blue
Shadow Blue + Berries = Abyssal Blue
Abyssal Blue + Apples = Shadow Blue
Shadow Blue + Berries = Abyssal Blue
Abyssal Blue + Apples = Grape Purple
Grape Purple + Pears = Currant Purple

Currently in a loop as well, but I have information that might add to the chart.

Was at Adamantoise Green, fed it 5 Valfruit and only got 1 proc, stopped there. The chocobo color turned to Slate Grey. I have fed it Mamook Pears, 1 pear and got a proc right away, waiting to confirm it will go back to Adamantoise Green. Stable condition is good at both times.

So in a nutshell, trying to confirm is Slate Grey is down this path. Not the color I want, but I believe it is still 'missing.' Will edit and or add a post later to confirm I got back to Adamantoise Green in about 6 hours from now.

I've started another spreadsheet that should document all different feedings at some point.
If anyone can add to it, that would be nice. Naturally I'm also updating it whenever possible.
