PSN Free Log In Interruption

Hello, I was just wondering what with the (still on-going) issues with PSN, if there would be an extension to the free log in week?

I know that the cause of the problem is nothing to do with Square-Enix, but it has still led to people being unable to play if they are a PSN user nonetheless.

Also I'm not really interested in debating whether people think this should or shouldn't happen, I'm really just looking to find out if it will. So a possible dev response would be very appreciated.

I dunno if SE will do anything, since thats with Sony. But Sony has in the past given free time on their games for disruptions to PSN. Like back with the security debacle, I got 45 days of free Everquest.

They were stating that Sony can offer free game time for EQ, because it's published by Sony. Sony has zero right or ability to offer free game time to a game like FF.

Well there is away Sony could offer gametime but it would have to be worked out with SE and most likely Sony would have to dish out money...................

But this most likely will never happen since well you it's Sony the god of gaming consoles and the perfect gaming network......

no one said they were gods of anything or perfect at all, dunno where you got that idea from, but it's not SE's prerogative to pay off Sony's problems, so you can go play FFXIV on your xbox1....oh, wait.

But you have to go through Sony to get to SE servers to play FFXIV. Sony going down has disrupted that service so they should pay for the day that you had missed out on.

The problem is that any compensation would have to come from Sony and if Sony compensated every company for free time given away, they'd probably go bankrupt. What you're forgetting right now is that it's not just FFXIV that's affected. PS4 users that play online multiplayer games like BF4, Diablo 3 etc are all affected. Can you imagine how much money it'd take for SE to compensate all those companies? It's just not possible at all.
