Green chocobo minimal effort

So I want to get a green chocobo, not a faded green colour but a pastel deep colour.

My FC garden is full and I can't use it so I'll be buying the Fruit to feed can anyone please tell me a way to get a green chocobo with minimal fruit used as they're very expensive right now.

Also is there a way to feed them or is it just the same as training them in the FC Stables.

There is no sure fire guarantee that you can get the color you want right off the bat with a certain amount of fruits. Sometimes you may get a green darker than you'd like, or even one lighter than you'd like. Sometimes even a color you don't want. I'd say go at it slowly if you wanna save money, feed it 1 green fruit every 6 hours, just to try your luck. And maybe some other fruits here and there if you feel the need to.

I wouldn't recommend feeding just one fruit, since that may not change the colour at all. However, if the 'Chocobo is starting to grow new feathers!' message pops up, you'll know your chocobo will be a different colour after 6 hours. If you want to spend as little food as possible, do one '...growing new feathers!' step at a time with Mamook pears, maybe add a few O'ghomoro berries at some point.

Turquoise green = 20 Berries and 10 pears. It's a fairly deep green and actually looks great on a chocobo. Of the "deeper" greens, I think it might be the least expensive, however it is ofc still quite a lot if you have to buy it all.

^ I got this by accident, so it's entirely possible that you can do this for less. I would show a screenshot, but I didn't take one and proceeded to make mine Peacock Blue ♥

If u want to settle with light green until prices lower you can get sylph green by :

4 doman plums (until feathers message appear)
Followed by
1 o'gh berry ( until feathers message appear)

If u feed it another 6 doman plums ( or until message appears) + 3 o'gh berry ( message appears) youll get turquoise green from sylph green

Lime green: Mamook Pear x7, O'Ghomoro Berry x2

I got Sylph green from plums with 2 new feathers messages, and then I went to Cream yellow with pineapples with 2 new feathers messages, then to Apple green with plums again with 3 new feathers messages.
You should be able to do it with only plums. Feed a few at a time until you get the green you like.

I got to apple green with just plums, and no where near 36 of them. :O 5 in total. Though if you count that I went backwards to yellow again you may need more plums.
