Xbox Live was brought down in January from a DDoS attack. Not trying to be a jerk or anything but, M$ has never had this problem. I remember when PSN was down for over a month back in 2011 (i found the actual date), the xbox live service ran smooth as ever.
And like somebody already said, you would expect a company like Sony to have an IT team capable of fixing almost anything in 18 hours.
I´m just upset about the act that I can't play, and for the looks of it, won't be able to in a very, very long time...PSN membership and SE membership gone to waste.
What happened to Sony in 2011 resulted in accounts being compromised. A DDoS attack is not that, and it's not easy to defend from one when it happens randomly.

Yeah, and many people don't realize what actually happens during a DDoS, even if the victim company drops or reroutes all the bad data, that bad data is STILL going through the pipes, choking them.

Sorry, I was unaware of that since I quit Xbox live but never had any issues.
And also, looks like it´s fixed, I´m in! Yay![]()
