Chocobo Dying NOT working.

Tried putting a few colors into chocobo and it told me that the feathers will change after 6 hours and also did some after, that didn't tell me that. but after the 6 hours was up, i went to go tend to my chocobo and nothing happened it was as if i fed no food and i did it right it worked earlier in the day but didn't do anything this time and i spent a good amount of gil on the food...has this happened to anyone else?
please let me know.

Did you ever get the message "Your chocobo is growing new feathers"? It's thought that only that prompt means it will change. If it just says plumeage will change in 6 hours and devoured, it won't change.

You get the "feathers will change in 6 hours" whenever you feed, but unless you get the "(your choco) begins to grow new feathers" message you won't see a change.

I'd suggest feeding multiple of whatever fruit you're starting with until you see THAT message. There may be some RNG, but you'll probably only need 3-4 fruits to get that first change.

That is the message i saw mostly every time until the end when it denied 7 of my fruits i tried feeding. it worked the first time and I saw it say my chocobo will grow new feathers in 6 hours and when it says that, that means the food has been applied for the change. but nothing happened. thats why it is dumb because it worked but then nothing happened and its like i didnt even feed my chocobo even though it gave me the correct message to know it was working...

As in i already mad emy chocobo change colors earlier today but wanted to change again but this time after giving me the notifications so i know the fruit was applied nothing happened after 6 hours so i basically wasted the fruit and it told me my chocobo was growing new feathers..

which one you feed? some fruits nuliffy the effect of others, you could get the message and end getting the same color because you went backwards.
