it is easy to answer to you....it is stereotypical as you say, because simply it is part of their culture, not losing face is part of their culture so yes you are right is stereotyped, also you saying is not true I would say is taking the exceptions as a majority dont you think or you are telling me that they admit readily when they are wrong when they have to look the world and say so ?...

It isnt something invented it is not wrong either, it is who they are, more so when it involves foreigners (understand others outside of Japan) ...I dont judge them I just say that rather then admit publically that something is wrong until they can no nore do otherwise, of course, they will find means and ways to turn that around...in a way we would all do the same, just some cultures more then others, in our particular case aka Atmas, I dont believe it is that easy to get 12 atmas in 14hours unless the guy is EXTREMELY lucky, a real test is to have such done by different people not only one, and I still believe that in this particular case the outcome might be adjusted for lack of better words to suit the purpose.

This is my opinion of course, you dont have to agree with it.
