Glamour question! Looking for boots

Time to pick the collective knowledge of the FF14 community:

I am looking for boots similar in style to the foestrikers- the whole "combat boots" height thing, but without the weird piece of cloth poking out of the top of them. The only other pair I've found that comes close are the Plundered Moccasins, but they also cannot be dyed.

Does anyone know of either a dark pair of boots similar to the foestrikers (minus the cloth poking out the top), or a dyable pair? I've been looking all over, but with no luck!

This is for a Paladin- so anything disciples of war or Paladin would work.

Have you tried the GC uniform boots? The Maelstrom ones particularly are black leather thigh highs (with the level 50 ones lined in scarlet red) and are pretty close to what you're after. The Acolyte's Boots may also qualify, but they're for Disciples of Magic only.

The lightning returns event boots are knee high style aren't they? If you missed it the first time, it's coming back soon.

Boarskin Moccasins or Hunter's Moccasins are craftable DoW items in the 40-50 range...Unfortunately, while there ARE dyeable versions of the Foestriker's set, I'm pretty sure they're all Bard-only items
