    4 months old showstopper "Accepted Bug" still happening

    Just happened to me: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...r-allow-log-in

    Other characters works just fine, just one is stucked in the endless bug, so I won't reinstall the game or anything (it's a known issue after all, and no solution proposed). I updated the graphic cards and tried using low graphics, nothing worked, and that's enough trying.

    "Accepted bug" for more than 4 months and still no solution? And I can't even create another character to play meanwhile because my server is freaking closed. This is an unacceptable issue for a monthly paid product, and the game has being out for a long time now.

    Please do something (move my character away of the buggy place or whatever).

    Sorry for being harsh, but after working for 12 hours, then coming home for some gaming (that I pay!), then can't play for some shitty reason. This sucks.

    Asked a friend to log me, it worked, then I teleported and bugged again. I can't teleport to Swiftperch.

    24 hours with bugged character, and 0 replies from customer support.

    Customer support takes at least 48 hours to reply, be patient. And also, it's not a bug, it's a connection issue. You might want to try forwarding the ports for the game. You can do that by calling your ISP and having them help you open them:

    It is a bug, just spoke with SE support. They asked to contact a GM in game to relocate the character, they are still working on this fix...

    Sounds weird that it happens to you and not your friend.

    Did you by any chance try to rename the folder "FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn" in Documents > My Games? That would reset any custom config you have.
    Try logging in and see what happens; if even then it's not fixed, delete the newly created folder and rename back the old one.

    Tried now, didn't work.

    My guess is a bugged equipment, that's the only explanation for this to suddenly start happening. I could try different things to test and find the issue, too bad I can't freaking log back in with that character. Unless a GM wants to keep relocating me each minute :P

    Is the game/documents folder located on a hdd different from the one on which windows is installed on? May be something to try.
