Number 1,2,3,4 -> If you are MT you should have Defiance/Shield Oath up. If you are OT you should have defiance off/sword oath on, the exception is if you need to pick up adds later in the fight you should turn on defiance/shield oath for the adds. If the fight requires tank swapping, leave defiance/shield oath up. For number 2, if a higher geared tank wants to be lazy and OT then proceeds to pull hate because they out DPS you by a shyt ton... its their fault as they are probably using their enimity combo. As MT you need to keep maim up and always use your butchers block combo, the other two combos (storms eye/path) do not have the enimity bonus.

Number 5 -> You need provoke and tomahawk for this situation.

Number 6,7 -> MAR should never be brought into end game content, unless you are creating your own full party and going in. MAR for PVP is waaay better than WAR. MAR DPS is good but a equally ilvl DRG or MONK should be able to out DPS it.

Number 8 -> Two tanks are required in all 8 man content done via the Duty Finder. If someone tells you this in a duty found instance, tell them to stfu as no one would be in the instance if you were not there. IF the group is a premade group via Party finder or your friends, then your strategy/gear is what determines if you need 2 tanks or not. Again all 8 man content was designed for two tanks. What you are seeing now is that most people out gear content by 20-40 ilvls so one tank can actually get by.

Number 9 -> Refer to answer for number 1-4. If you are lower, expect to OT, if they want you to MT, tell them if they pull hate its on them since you are lower level. If you insist on MT, then you have to make sure you are doing everything up to snuff so they dont pull hate, also ask them to remain in sword oath/defiance off. If they are trying to pull hate off of you for epeen, let them and then ignore them they are being asses.

Number 10,11,12,13 -> Follow advice above and you can ignore most people making these comments

Number 14 -> WAR can clear all content PLD can

Number 15 -> Tell them to stop being racist

Number 16 -> As MT USE all of them, they are tools at your disposal. Make sure you learn when to use them correctly though. Self Healing is what makes a WAR. Most of these moves are off global cooldown so they shouldn't interfere with your rotations. As OT, you should typically only need to use DPS enhancing skills, unless you are actually OT'ing adds or tank swapping.

Number 17 -> Overpower is overpowered when compared to Flash. Use both when you need to maintain aggro on multiple mobs. You should be able to overpower twice on the initial pull then do you butchers combo once or twice, then fit another overpower in there and repeat. This is so that healers dont pull hate from mobs you are not attacking and so that if any dps are attacking the wrong thing you can hold aggro.

Number 18 -> Provoke cannot be spammed, and should only be used to tank swap, or to get aggro back on a mob that you lost. You must follow a provoke with a tomahawk or other enimity attack, provoke only puts you 1 point of hate above the person you are provoking off of. Flash can be used when you are low on TP from using overpower on longer fights with large packs of mobs. A WAR should never rely on flash as a main aggro builder.

Number 19 -> Tomahawk should be used to initially pull targets then followed up with an overpower or a enimity combo. Using tomahawk after provoke is a must so you dont have to go chasing a mob.

Number 20 -> Butchers block combo should always be used if you are MT (keep up maim if possible), this combo generates the most enimity. As OT you should never be using it, unless you are holding adds.

Number 21 -> If you mark targets and dps dont follow, let them pull hate and die. You marked them for a reason if they dont follow it their fault. There is no excuse for them not to follow (except AOE'ing large packs of mobs) your marks, its just them being asses or being lazy.

Hope a lot of this helps. My advice for you get your gear up as soon as you can. Being ilvl 82 and trying to hold hate against DPS that is ilvl 100-110 will be tough no mater what situation you are in. Your weapon is your friend, getting a better weapon will help solve enimity issues faster.

    Lothar88 thank you

my major remaining issue is: being in castrum or praetorium and the other tank demanding that I run ahead and pull and agro, then demanding to be main tank and leaving me behind to be killed by mobs and telling me I need to be DPs. It's the main reason I havnt finished getting my last piece of i90 gear, my pants.

My husband and I just picked up our first stage weapon (mines the Bravura Zenith i90)

I'm not sure why you'd keep doing Castrum or Praetorium though.. There are many other ways to get Myth, likely faster ones as well.

It's the daily duty roulette and it gives 210 when done as a daily duty once each day. and then 110 each repeat thereafter. I dont have daily trial roulette available yet because we havnt done Ramuh yet. Hopefully this weekend.
