Users meeting the following conditions will be able to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn free of charge during the upcoming Campaign:

Eligibility
Users who have previously purchased and registered FINAL FANTASY XIV and whose service account is set as inactive during the campaign period.
*Please visit the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station to confirm the status of your service account.

Event Schedule
Friday, August 22, 2014 at 4:00 a.m. to Monday, September 1, 2014 at 4:00 a.m. (PDT).
* Please note that a subscription to FFXIV: ARR is required to continue playing after the event period.

According to this event, I thought I can log into my account but I cannot get past the character selection screen. On the lower right hand corner, it shows my 0 Days Remaining on Subscription. Looked around mog station and did not see any option for the event neither. Can anyone please help? Thanks!

If you have 0 days left on your subscription, it kind of means... you can no longer play the game because you haven't paid for the next month(s).

And the email about this campaign was sent an hour ago! What the hell Square Enix? All the free weekend campaigns had timely emails about them and the one time there's a longer one you wait until there is just a weekend left?

Yeah, I was just lucky I happened to randomly read about the promotional free week on a gaming site, so I knew ahead of time. I don't think I ever got an e-mail from Square Enix about it. Kind of defeats the purpose of the whole thing if you don't tell people, doesn't it?
