Chat Log, 2 windows? Why?

Oh god i agree why can't we have the chat log from FFXI it was so easy to switch from chat even on controller or keyboard i hope SE can add this to ffxiv.

I love the layout and chat for ffxi so much becuase i play it for so long i even have my UI for ffxiv like it.

I can't make it 100% like ffxi due to the limit set for ffxiv. But i hope SE could make a ffxi UI for FFXIV even our spell being into a list not a hotbar not all of us like the WoW type hotbar.

or if not allow players to come up with there own seeing how yoshi-p did say they may allow us to add "Addon" for ffxiv but only for UI or something like that.
