class/job decision problems

So I am unsure that this is the right section of the forums to post this in but...

I have a level 50 Black Mage, Summoner, Scholar, and Bard. As well as a level 45 Dragoon and White Mage. My Marauder is level 26, Pugilist is level 22, and Gladiator is level 11.

My problem is I can't for the life of me decide what to focus on for end game content. I am pretty certain that I don't really want to play a tank job, as that is really not my playstyle. However I greatly enjoy being able to both heal and DPS.

The problem arises in that I am not very positionally aware, so the Pugilist class is not necessarily my favorite class to play. That said I can sort of handle the Dragoon. Between the remaining classes I definitely enjoy the Bard, and Black Mage as far as DPS classes go, and I am not particularly fond of the Summoner anymore, mainly because it is too immobile.

I do definitely like the healing classes, but I am recently discovering that at least in low level dungeons that I may not be the most optimal healer because I keep getting dead or my party dead.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Oh and I play on the PS4 with a controller primarily. I do have a supplementary keyboard, but my primary controls are the controller and I absolutely adore it.

Don't let the "keyboard/mouse vs controller" thing put you off. It doesn't matter if you're a competent player. As for what Job to choose, just play what you ENJOY. Don't play a Job just because it's "in high demand". This game is casual enough to where you can gear up any Job without too much trouble and still enjoy it. Make the game something you enjoy playing, rather than a chore. Plus, you can always gear up a secondary Job!

The biggest struggle for controller players is working on swapping between targets while cycling abilities without any down time. This takes a bit of practice to get a hold of so until your comfortable with it, classes that minimize swapping targets would be best.

Scholar is great for controller players where you can strictly watch the tanks while the fairy does a good amount of group healing when needed. It's a weird trade-off where it will be very easy to become a decent healer, but it will be very hard to bring out the classes full potential.

Bard + BLM are also perfectly fine for controllers. The most swapping they will due is placing dots on multiple mobs if desired. Bard is great for positional awareness as they can move while attacking so there is less to think about there. On the other hand, they are often called for silencing mobs and playing songs so you will have to be aware of those situations to a much higher degree. BLM is strictly "plant your feet and go". Once boss fights start to require a high degree of movement, there will be a big learning curve on figuring out how to work around that. Until then, it will be rainbows and sunshine!

I think I have decided to settle on Scholar, Bard, and maybe Black Mage. These three are probably the three that I will be most comfortable with I think.
