Steps one to six went as planned, but Russet Brown came out of nowhere and broke my little lalafell heart at step seven. Applying the theories we've developed so far, I was able to course correct it in two additional, nerve-racking steps.

I am also confirming that I got Russet brown from Rolanberry Red from a single pear feeding which proc'd a growing new feather message.

I have been stuck in the same loop. I decided to feed 1 more berries after getting the growing feathers message and see if that got me from Regal purple back to Royal Blue, and it did, so I am going to try feeding 2 apples and see if it gets me to Rolanberry Red. I will keep checking to see your results. If the 2 apples don't work, and you are able to move forward, I will probably try to get back to Royal Blue and feed a pear like you did. If neither of these work, I may change my chocobo back to it's original color and start over.

After getting my chocobo back to Royal Blue again, fed it apples until it said growing feathers, then I gave it another apple. I was hoping that would move it on to Rolanberry Red, but it just went back to Regal Purple, so I gave it a lemon and I am starting all over again.

I'm still working on getting Currant Purple, but these are my latest results:

Shadow Blue + Xelphatol Apple -> Grape Purple
Grape Purple + Mamook Pear -> Shadow Blue (twice now)
Shadow Blue + Xelphatol Apple -> Loam Brown

We tried to feed chocobos with "grow new feather" messages like the image arrows told us but all chocobos stoped much more colors before the goal color! Example we tried snow white and image say 3 times feathers, did it but color result was bone white. We tried to get raptor blue and image say around 6 arrows = 6 times grow new feather... results in gobubbe brown after 6 hours witch is 2 arrows after normal color but with 6 messages in one feeding session.

I think the Image needs to be redone with breaks at the arrows where to stop a session and wait 6 hours before feeding more fruits.

so guys im trying to get soot black and im using this chart https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/18...661/vBZmlD.png everything went fine when my chocobo was rolanberry red i feed him berries to try to get midnight blue then to continue the path to soot black but the resulting color wasnt midnight blue it was regal purple im going to try to reverse it back to rolanberry red i only wrote the post to let you guys know and help you acquire more data for the chart https://www.dropbox.com/s/m4yx34y47x...90311.png?dl=0

According to this chart:

Dalamud Red --> Rolanberry Red requires O'ghomoro Berries.

Dalamud Red (127, 31, 31)
Rolanberry Red (95,41,47)

O'ghomoro Berries (-5, -5, 5) so feed it the berries until it gives you the "beginning to grow new feathers" message. You only want to see this message once to indicate a color change.

Regal Purple --> Rolanberry Red requires Apples. According to the simulator, you want to feed it about 5 apples.

Regal Purple (103, 55, 87)
Rolanberry Red (95,41,47)

Apple (5,-5,-5) so same thing with the berries, you want to give it the apples for the "beginning to grow new feathers" message. You want to see this message twice.

That does not work, and you cannot depend on the chart when you get stuck in a loop. I was just in this loop, and finally just fed a lemon to get out.

Inside this loop "Dalamud Red --> Rolanberry Red requires O'ghomoro Berries. " does NOT work. Also "Regal Purple --> Rolanberry Red requires Apples", Neither Apples or Pineapple work.

Don't bring the simulator in here. It wasn't 5 apples. It was 1 Apple or 2 pineapple to get the new feather message, and they dump you back to Dalamud and Blood respectively, not Rolanberry.

Until someone figures out SE's RNG with this, there is absolutely no point to a simulator/calculator. It's no better than telling someone to fed the same number of different fruit and expect them to get the same color. Most of the time, it's not going to work.
