Anyone mind helping me trying and figure out the route to get from Deepwood Green to Grape Purple?

I see that I can take the deepwood to currant but I'm unsure of if I were to get there what I would be feeding to go from Currant to Grape. Obviously if there's a way I can feed to get me more directly there then I'm all for it as I've gotten 10 other colors from the default trying to hit this.

Plums (till growing new featehrs message) should get you to Currant, then apple or valefruit (not both, either or) should bring you to Grape

I've got went from millioncorn yellow to coeurl yellow unlike others from just feeding the apples, then went to pumpkin orange next time I fed apples

Do you remember if you got 1 'beginning to grow new feathers!' message or more? Because this may be one of those 'rare' steps that hardly anyone is getting.

Plums x 2 (started paying attention to "growing feathers")
Result: Sky Blue

Valefruit x 12 - no result, took chocobo out and started again.
Apples x 10 - no result, took chocobo out and started again.
Pineapple x 4, grows new feathers

Result: Ice Blue, no change.

Experimenting a bit with which colors would bring you back from a color, seeing if there can be multiple (seems like it).

Does Chocobo Rank affect the number of fruit needed to change the colour or is my bird just incredibly greedy? These are my results so far with a rank 10 chocobo in a good condition stable;

Starting Colour: Desert Yellow
Pears x 9
Result - Lime Green

Starting Colour: Lime Green
Pears x 15
Result - Apple Green

Starting Colour: Apple Green
Plums x 17
Result - Celeste Green

I'm afraid your chicken is a Greedalox. The amount of fruit is variable. My FC mates have gotten different results on that. However, the amount seems to be irrelevant and RNG. Mind you, I say -seems-. You never know with SE.

For the record, my FC mate got to Celeste Green from Apple Green with 1 plum. His chicken is rank 5 and stable conditions were good.

Do I feed1 of each regardless of the number of "new feather" messages, or do I keep feeding each fruit till I see the message 3 times?

So glad to hear it! It's hard to predict from here. I haven't gotten many reports (as you can see in the log) from dark colours going darker. If you have the patience.... I would suggest trying one of the 'deepens <insertcolourhere>' fruits until you get the feather proc. Check the resulting colour, report to me pls =P
Then do the same for the other two. I mean, for science, right?

The thing is, feeding different fruits in 1 sitting means you won't know if you have overshot your goal. There is still RNG involved here because, SE.

EDIT: HOLD UP! Why are you not submitting your info for getting to Midnight Blue? GET GOING =P
