Nothing new really, but I did try a ridiculous amount of apples on blood red. No new feather message so I added some berries and got to Dalamud Red. Basically following Ravenloft's(and others) path. I'm tempted to try the valfruit idea, but I really like this dalamud red too. I saw someone was gonna try apples again at Dalamud Red. Wondering if that did anything. If I get the urge to experiment more I'll report back.

If I land on Peacock Blue this stage, I'm probably giving up for now and eating a lemon. Then I'll go back to blood red and trying a ridiculous amount of apples myself. If that doesn't work, then it's valfruit and some pineapples. After that, I might start going for black again in a different way.

Want to make my way to Wine Red.

I've found that Dalamud Red + Pear = Blood Red and Dalamud Red + Apple = Blood Red. I'm trying to do one fruit at a time so I'm just going to keep playing around with it, one pear from blood red gave me the new feather message earlier this morning.

Someone posted here that Currant Purple + 2 pears = Soot Black, so I gave it a try on my Currantly(HUE) Purple Chocobo, and it became Soot Black.

I just fed my currant purple chocobo 2 pears and got the growth message after each- really hoping to hit soot black also... will know in 5 1/2 hours ; ;

Nope haha went to Shadow Blue...... Ironically this was the next step after my previous Woad Blue colour that I was aiming for in a chain to Soot Black (Woad Blue > Shadow Blue > Loam Brown > Soot Black), but I had overshot it and ended up with Currant Purple. 2 steps forward, 1 step back it seems
