Working on Soot Black Experiment

Desert Yellow --> Plum Purple
1st session : 22 Berries

Plum Purple -->Chocolate Brown
2nd session : 8 Apples then 7 Pears



So i got chocolate brown not sure what to do next to try and fix it to get soot black or close too it.

This was a Colour chart I was working on. But since I only have my own data (FC members sacrificed their Chocobo's to me) I am not going to continue it for now.

I think everything on here is known data except the Coeurl yellow, so I'll submit that to the spreadsheet ^_^



Oh and the Plums on Snow White has a missed step because the tester accidentally got 2 feather messages instead of one. but it looks like you can get the Snow white even with 1 plum message there.

This is so helpful in visualising what steps to take for the colors! Thank you! I'm going to try and replicate the steps to get Rolanberry Red once my plants come up.

What did you feed it from deepwood green to get void blue? Ive been trying for days to get that color? Was it a mamook pear until the color changed once as per your previous post?

If I'm right in how this works, you went from ~25/36/28 to ~14/35/61 because the Valfruit hit only the blue color, raising it a fair bit. You probably went from something like 20/35/30 to 20/35/60. You need to lower the blue again, but you also need to raise that red. The pineapple, if you're lucky, will hit primarily the red color, giving you something like 50/35/60. If it hits green, or both, you could wind up with 50/65/60 or 20/65/60 or anything inbetween. You could wind up with: Shadow Blue (++red +green), Woad Blue (+red, +green), Morbol Green (just +green), or Grape Purple (just +red). Other colors are possible too, I guess, but I don't know how much a single fruit can raise/lower colors.

EDIT: The problem, as I said elsewhere, is that Soot Black is only the fourth-darkest color in the game. It's just the most balanced dark color. There's a red (Kobold Brown), green (Deepwood Green), and blue (Ink Blue) darker than it. Going from one of them to black is risky and random.

Experiment Path 1

When the colours first launched and before all this information was really here I fed an unknown amount of fruit and achieved Bone White.

This wasn't a colour I liked so recorded the next set

10 pears with NO feathers message (0/10)
5 O'Goh with 5 new feather messages (5/5)

Led to Ice Blue


Stage 1 Ice Blue > Iris Purple

Now I am going to push on with only feeding one fruit and stopping at the first proc message to see where I end up.

Using Valfruit I have fed 6 Valfruit total with the new feathers message on the last (1/6)

Has resulted in Iris Purple.

Stage 2 Iris Purple >>> Colibri Pink

Just started my 8th stage. I decided on Berries again. Fed my Rolanberry Red bird ONE Berries and got the new feathers message. That's after 17 Berries to proc a new feathers the stage before. Elusive HQ proc maybe?

I have a bad feeling it's going to be a purple >.>
