Chocobo Color Mapping/Planning

So I just stabled my chocobo, which is coral pink, in an attempt to get to plum so I could go to lavender and then colibri. Then I saw Lyrical editing her chart and tried to cancel my feeding.
The feather message stopped appearing after I cancelled out the plum with an apple, I think.
It then reappeared on a feeding of valfruit. I did this in the wrong order, because I'm dumb but I think this should prove that the first valfruit before the apple didn't count, even though it got the feathers message.
Now just gotta hope I land on colibri.

I have yet to post here, and I'm sort of jumping in without all of my previous theory and feed, but I have nowhere else to turn.
I feel like i am on the edge of unlocking soot black. for the last 6 feeds i have been getting closer and closer and the RGB Value. and the color result has been closer and closer and closer with every feed.
I really apologize for not recording the fruit I've used until now... I took a laid back approach at first thinking id figure it out but once i was getting "Close Close" i decided its time to come to this Experimentation thread.
So here are my results without the fruits (for the most part. honestly should have been writing them down but ill record what i remember.)
Desert Yellow: (fruit lost to human memory >_<)
-
Sunset Orange: (1 Berry 1 Apple 1 Pear proc on each i think)
-
Colibri Pink: (about 8 Apple and 8 Berries. cannot remember procs)
-
Dalamud Red: (This is where it gets fuzzy and i was just giving him several fruits. however this was mostly Apples and Berries again. I was avoiding any Lightening fruit at the time.
-
Hunter Green: (Our FC finished growing Pears for this feed. as an Experiment I used one Plum to start the feed (Proc message) and then 10 Pears (all Procs).
-
Morbol Green: (This time around I was REALLY following RGB values and no longer feed more than 3 fruits to a feed. but to get this Morbol Green I used one of every light fruit and one of every dark fruit as an experiment. the result is that the RGB values for Hunter green and Morbol Green are so similar, using one of every fruit slightly varied the values enough to change the color so slightly.
At this point i realized its time to feed very few fruits. and see the results. Careful Synthesis if you will
-
Today:
Deepwood Green: This Green is Devastatingly close to Soot black in both color and RGB value.
Deepwood Green Value is: R:25 G:36 B:28
Soot Black value is : R:37 G:35 B:30
So now I'm only feeding single fruits to balance this out.
I think my next feed will be a Single Mamook Pear. (to darken the green a Tiny bit and light the red and blue a tiny tiny bit.
I think this next feed may result in the illusive black people are looking for, which led me to post on this thread.. Ill report after but I would really like some insight. or some advice on what steps I should take or if I as close as I think I am because... I feel really close.
Help Me Help you.♥

Someone got soot black yesterday and said he got it from using a valfruit at deepwood green.

Will Try this. Pulled him out put him back in used a single valfruit. got the Proc message.
Will post result in 6 hours with result.

So i'm doing my own experiment here to see what i get by feeding my chocobo, berries until i get one "new feather" proc. I'm hoping to get corpse blue at some point.
First 6hr feed:
Starting colour: Desert yellow (R:215 G:183 B:87)
3 berries fed at 1 minute intervals, got the message after the 3rd berry.
Colour result after 6 hours: Ul brown (R:183 G:167 B:119).
That means, if current theories are correct about RGB, then these berries increased/decreased the RGB values as such; -32 red, -16 green, +32 blue.
Second 6hr feed:
Starting colour: UL brown (R:183 G:167 B:119)
4 berries - 2nd and 3rd fed in quick succession (no proc), waited 1 minute before feeding the 4th, got the proc.
Colour result after 6 hours: Gobbiebag brown
Third 6hr feed:
Starting colour: Gobbiebag brown (R:191 G:167 B:135)
2 berries, fed 1 minute apart - proc'd after fed the second.
Colour result after 6 hours: Shale brown
Fourth 6hr feed:
Starting colour: Shale brown (R:151 G:135 B:111)
2 berries, fed 1 minute apart - proc'd after fed the second.
Colour result after 6 hours: Goobbue grey
Fifth 6hr feed:
Starting colour: Goobbue grey (R:135 G:135 B:135)
2 berries, fed 1 minute apart - proc'd after feeding second berry.
Colour result after 6hours: Lavender purple
Sixth 6hr feed:
Starting colour: Lavender purple
6 plums, fed one minute apart - proc'd after 6th plum
Colour result after 6 hours: Corpse blue *bah bah bah baaaah-bah-bah bah-ba-baaaah*/joy /happy /cheer
EDIT: Not sure the RGB thing is a thing, so hidden this bit but left it available for others to speculate!
So, if current theories are correct, and colour changes only occur by how many times you get the "new feather" message, then according to the result above for the first feed, the one feather proc i received in feed 2 should give roughly the same values - giving me approximately R:151, G:151, B:151 (which is really close to corpse blue [R:151, G:151, B:167]). Fingers crossed anyway...
I don't hold much hope though as an fc member fed 5 berries, with 3 procs for his first 6hr feed, leading to UL brown from desert yellow. His second 6hr feed was 17 berries (he didn't tell me the procs but he thinks they happened alot after the 3rd berry) and he got Othard blue (R:55 G:87 B:135). As you can see, these values are strange when compared to UL brown. Berries are supposed to deepen blue hues but according to the math, the blue value only went up by +16, where as the red value decreased by -128.
Getting more and more confused...

Corpse Blue is on my color mapping spreadsheet. You can see it here
It can take you 5 - 7 feeding sessions to get to Lavender Purple with Berries, and 1 final session with Plums. Feed one type of snack til the New Feathers message occurs and wait 6 hours, repeat until desired color![]()

Awesome, thank you! So keep feeding berries until 1 proc, wait 6 hours and repeat until lavender purple? THEN on the next 6hr feed, feed it the plums one at a time until i get to corpse blue? I still do not understand this but i'll go with it xDCorpse Blue is on my color mapping spreadsheet. You can see it here

Yeah, so it would seem... Finding it all so interesting though! Thanks for your help and advice![]()

Yes, exactly, but at lavender just once again feed Plums until the new feathers message, and your Choco should turn out corpse blue after the 6 hours!
