Heavy lag during very specific times

Hey all,

I'm experiencing lag making lots of content almost unplayable, sometimes facing 10+ second lag spikes. This is regardless if I'm out in the open world or in an instanced zone.

This always happens from 5pm and lasts through 7pm PST. I am in California and have Verizon Fios. During this time (or any other time for the matter), I never suffer any lag problems, and I play connection sensitive games such as Street Fighter and Diablo 3 Hardcore. It only happens regularly in this game, weekday or weekend.

Is there anything I can do on my end to alleviate this?

That's when everyone logs in. It's just a congestion issue, it will pass when all these people playing the free week log in stop (today is the last day!)
