and thats where you using your environment to los and your healer comes into play, namely a sch for shields so you can cast.
It seems like you're assuming a team thats working together. What happens to solo players that dont have the ability to group up with others and have to run on their own? You know as well as I do that PUG's are not known for their cooperation.
Im open to learning, and am actively working on it. Im not trying to find any excuses, im simply trying to figure out why a pure interrupt model was used in regards to casters instead of the usual pushback/skill interrupt. Its taking a huge step backwards lol.I'm a solo player. Over 400 games in FL, mostly on whm and I rarely have problems staying alive regardless of my party members skill... which is most of the time pretty low. Pug'ing can be quite frustrating at times though, but playing a healer yourself really helps to alleviate some of that. My advice to you would be to stop trying to find excuses and learn how to play your class. It's not that hard.
*edit*
Reading over this post really reminded me of the initial launch of ff14 xD everyone defended it to the death even though it was so bad it had to be shut down and relaunched. I may be wrong, but it seems like history may be repeating itself!

Fair enough
Im just trying to look at this from a single player point of view that has to run with PUG's the majority of the time. The objective of a game should never be to turn players 'off' of a class, it should be to make gameplay fun and balanced. Interrupts on any type of physical damage with cooldowns being the only way to avoid that is not anyones idea of fun.
