Macros can set eos/selene skills individually now

I haven't seen this posted much, so I thought I'd bring it up for those who haven't caught it.

Ever since one of the hotfixes shortly after 2.3 2.28, individual faerie skills can be set by macro onto individual hotbar slots. Originally, the text command reference didn't cover this syntax, but it looks like it's been updated to include it.

So if you're using Eos/Selene abilities by themselves (i.e., not macroing Embrace with other stuff or using super-CD macros), you can use these instead of dedicating entire hotbars just to the difference between Eos and Selene. This is how I use the faerie skills, and to me, this is a whole lot easier than futzing around with multiple/hidden hotbars every time I want to change something.

    For keyboard (for example):
    Code:
    /micon "Summon"
    /ac "Summon"
    /hotbar pet "Embrace" eos 1 5
    /hotbar pet "Whispering Dawn" eos 1 6
    /hotbar pet "Fey Covenant" eos 1 7
    /hotbar pet "Fey Illumination" eos 1 8
This sets Eos abilities to hotbar 1 slots 5-8.

    For gamepad:
    Code:
    /micon "Summon"
    /ac "Summon"
/chotbar pet "Embrace" eos 1 RAL
/chotbar pet "Whispering Dawn" eos 1 RAU
/chotbar pet "Fey Covenant" eos 1 RAR
/chotbar pet "Fey Illumination" eos 1 RAD
This sets Eos abilities to cross hotbar 1, buttons X, Triangle, Circle, Square, respectively.

The rest of hotbar/chotbar 1 stay unchanged for either case. You can do the same with Selene abilities, of course. Embrace is actually the only one where you need to specify the appropriate faerie name after the name of the skill, since it's the same name for both faeries, but it doesn't hurt to have the name there for all of them.

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

This looks really useful. I will have to look into it further when I get the opportunity.

I had missed this and I was wondering how on earth I was supposed to cram everything onto the cross bar. Will be lOoking at this when I get home!

I've been using that new shortkey for my scholar since they introduced it. It's pretty neat that you don't have to use multiple hotbars anymore for both fairies, one click from the summon macro and it will replace the skills on respective slots. :v

Lol, I remember fighting for that hotfix. Sadly, they didn't allow us to put macros on our hotbars that way. (Some people said allowing you to put macros on the hotbars that way would make botting easier, but if anything, bots would have no reason to use it).

The healer of love and justice! (Or the mad/insane/evil/berserk healer depending on who you talk to).
I've played healers for so long that I can heal in my sleep literally (People have seen me do it).
I like to do a bit of everything, but my preference is healing+support (until /that/ happens). FF14 title: Macro Queen

Just set this up for my scholar pets. Now I have two extra crossbars to use. THANK YOU! (found the button codes using "/? chotbar", I'm new)

Not to necro this too bad. But was messing around last night on SMN and thought to myself, hey would my SCH macro work here. And sure enough it does. So if you didn't know you can do the same thing, replacing actions and -egi names accordingly and place them where you like on your QS per summon. If you did, consider this just a reminder ^^
